Any one has any experiences with these guys?

Brand new '24 RS660 is due for the 1000KM soon... really debating going back to my dealer for the service or just going to a 3rd party....

I see 109 Cycle has scores and scores of bikes lined up every summer day... really wondering if these guys are *that* good and if going to a 3rd party will void my warranty.

Thx...

Congratulations awesome bike.

Would highly recommend going to the dealer for the first service.

This is probably the most important check over especially on a bike that 109 will have never seen.

They will not void your warranty but they are not likely to have all the factory checks or software updates a dealer or Aprilia specialist would have.

Not much dealers for Aprilia's within the GTA.. so between VOS and StudioCycle.. any recommendations?

heard horror stories about vos service.

Choosing between great guys, like 109 Cycle and the dealer is comparing apples to bananas. 109 Cycle, and most other independent shops, don't have the tools, computers, diagnostic and specialty tools needed to do the service right. They may not even have the oil / filter you need as these Italian bikes tend to use odd ball oil weight. They may just use what they have instead, which can cause problems.
The dealer at least has the right supplies on hand, and can update the onboard software. They invested large to carry the brand, so you know they have what they need on hand to do it right. Also, what if a warranty issue is discovered during the first service, you would have to go to a dealer anyways.

Aprilia RS660 uses 2.7 litres of 10W50 full synthetic. Dealers sell a kit, but that's not all that the first service entails.

I’d agree to taking it back to the dealer for first service.

109 is a great shop and they actually even helped me out on a bike I didn’t take into them and was doing the work myself.

They are a small shop so not sure if they’d have aprilia specific items or not. It never hurts to call and ask.

OP are you in the area? I’m very close by to their shop.

BTW - there doesn't appear to be any aftermarket oil filters for this model (much like my RE).
Genuine parts are always best anyway while the machine is still under warranty.
