well, anything is going to help protect your plastics, but that's all they are really going to protect. I know a lot of members on ninjette use the shogun ones with good success, just gotta remember that no frame slider is going to protect your bike 100%

Look into the shogun sliders. You don't have to cut the fairing, but you do have to cut the clutch cover a little bit. But It's well worth it and it was one of the better options when I Was looking into frame sliders.

The last time this thread popped up, I recommended the shoguns & a couple of people got it. I've dropped it once on each side and you can't even tell.

My frame sliders are for low speed drops. I'd expect them to do more damage when I'm moving at speed...but you've got to weigh out what matters more to you.

tl;dr: get the shogun sliders from baysideperformance (it'll ship out from BC)

it's not the clutch cover that needs trimming, but rather the front sprocket cover.

I see so i guess i'll get myself some shogun sliders then!

so even for these no cut? i still need to cut a little bit? Could i do the cutting myself, probably have to bring it into a shop right..

it's no cut as far as the fairings are concerned, but yea the shogun sliders require that you trim the front sprocket cover. it shows in the instructions how it needs to be trimmed, I'm sure anyone that can operate a hacksaw or rotary tool with a cutoff wheel can do it themselves.

That's the link to the installation instructions.

I will probably go with that! Thanks for all the help! Highly appreciate it

Good call - that's actually what I meant to say.

But yeah...enjoy your shoguns. You don't need any power saws (although a dremel will make it easier). Just remember to file/smoothen out the cut afterwards 'cause you don't want sharp mettal slowly digging into the slider frame when you're riding.
