I race 2 R6's, a 99 and an 03, guess which ones runs consistently better

FI is better at high altitude, in extreme weather and is better for emissions standards (more accurate). The trade off is one is cheap to fix and mechanical, the other is expensive to fix and electronic. No big difference on older R6's, FI or carb.. They all perform roughly the same. You can indeed squeeze almost 10 extra hp out of an '03 stock over the 99-02 with a tune though.

It comes down to whatever your preference is.

Have owned and raced both. The R6 is a better bike for racing. The F4i would be the better street bike imo.

R6 has more power, tighter ergonomics, smaller, lighter, more power(up top). F4i is a bigger bike, more upright riding position, better midrange power.

I found they both handled quite well. The R6 chassis is better suited to track/racing and ultimately a generation ahead of the F4i is terms of design.

Honda was definitely more reliable lol

How do you find the seating position for riding on the street?

I did ride it for a season on the street, ergo was not bad, neck hurt after a long ride. Now i just track it ( that what it was made for) a young man would have no issues riding it on the street, but me ...at 56 and toasted knees..well ....not so good for me. lol

Personally I think the 2002 R6 in the red scheme is better looking then the 03-05 so it really sucks that it never came with fuel injection. The 03 is pretty ugly, the whole front end and fairing angle is terrible and makes the bike look jacked up in the front. Bad design.

This on the other hand is the real deal.

Race bikes don't count lol. But yeah the front end design doesn't agree with me at all. Like its walking around with its chin up if you know what I mean.
