Thank God tea comes in a wee sachet and the only thing I have difficulty with is buying 250ml of 2% just before pitching my tent. :D
Caroline looked at some silicone filter holders at the dollar store similar to this ...
Then she saw this and said "I can use regular filters and a chopstick!"
Speaking of tea and coffee, this past winter I ordered a couple of Titanium 750ml mugs from AliExpress as they were $25 each with free shipping, and that lead me to wonder how I could get a stove that would fit inside them with an absolute minimum of moving parts and replenishables...

There is a Canadian YouTuber, Mark Young in Nova Scotia that really appreciates a good cup of coffee.
Coffee in the Woods - YouTube
He really likes his AreoPress:
On one episode he even roasted his own beans!
Thankfully I'm a cuppa tea man, myself. :)
This past Saturday was highlighted by overnight frost warnings, and a day time high of 16 dgrees Celsius, so what better way to celebrate seeing the sun again, than to enjoy lunch 266 km away?

French River is a beatiful. Was it the wee lighthouse shown on Google as "New London Range Rear Lighthouse" or the one in French River itself?
It hasn't changed too much. There is a rain in the forecast possibly changing to light snow tonight, and the roads are potholed something fierce this...
I thought I'd share a bit of what is going on out in Atlantic Canada with you.

Ummm... Yeah.
I was playing around with the butane gas and alcohol stove this year, but my absolute favorite is at the bottom of the page, my SVEA123R. It nests in the two pots that double as a tea mug and cook...

I've been looking for a job after graduating from college recently, and put any riding plans on hold until I saw a facebook post announcing that the Canadian Superbike CSBK was at Shubenacadie this coming weekend! It spurred me into thinking that...
For the second time this season I've had Competition Cycle spoon on new tires for me, having walked in with the rims in hand.
I can highly recommend them for great price, service and professionalism.
Well done, and thanks!
K, I know you got 'em.
When you park it, who is there to meet you at the door?
Suzi hanging out doing the neighbourhood watch thing.
Making our way along the Gaspe.
Taking a breather at the VRRA weekend at CTMP.
I got tired of hauling my gear like this:
When I bought my 2001 Suzuki Bandit 600 it came with the racks and a pair of E41 side cases, and those went onto my 2004 Kawasaki KLR as well.

I'm out at CTMP aka Mosport this weekend to watch the Vintage Road Racing Association racing.
Spectators pay ten dollars per day, and it's a great time watching the old bikes rip around the track.
Pictured here is a 1934 Rudge that didn't quite make it all the way during practice session...
I'm headed out to PEI tomorrow with my dog Suzi for a 12 day camping and riding vacation.
It'll be her third trip out to the island, but her first multi-day on the Versys.
MacDoc asked for some pictures of the load, so I'll try to oblige later on tonight once I get the kitchen sink...
I have to thank Nightshadow for inspiring this run, as his route had some great roads on it, and I've plagiarised it shamelessy to concoct my own run this past weekend...

My sister offered me a job out on Prince Edward Island and I packed up the bike and made the haul out to it's red mud. My happiest moment was offloading the bike from the back of the U-Haul that I'd rented for the move.
I'd purchased this bike from a friend in the...
This is my 5th time down to the Blue Ridge Parkway in Virginia, and the route I plotted for Day 1 was highly entertaining, although it didn't really shine until we'd crossed over into Pennsylvania and hit Wykoff Run as suggesated by Omnivore.
I'm on the Bandit and it's handling well on the...
I like to plot my trips using Google Maps set to "Terrain" feature, and once upon a time I would spend a lovely time plotting a nice route only to find that when I went to save it and convert it to a KML file, I'd lose many of the waypoints I created and end up with 3/4 of a route instead of...
