Appreciate the insight from everyone.! Im 26, in GTA. Sounds like I either have to accept the insurance rates on a bigger bike or settle for a little less power for a year or two.

I ran a couple quotes on new bikes and I think insurance makes buying new not really an option. I'm hoping to pay less than $2.5k/yr (on the fz). Is that unreasonable, or way too much? I will give them and a few other places a call re: the fz08 but keep in mind I've only been riding since July.

I hate the headlights, IMO super ugly. Nice looking except the front end.
