For what it’s worth, I have a CB500F with the same engine and agree that it can handle highway speeds without issue, as MacDoc noted. I can’t speak for the 300, but I came from a Ninja 250 to the CB and found the extra power was very welcome on the highway and even riding downtown everyday. On...
I'd say that's a great first bike. I had almost the exact same bike as my first. Super clean looking, bringing back memories of how I wanted mine to look!
Selling a Corbin seat for a 2016 - 2018 CBR500 or CB500F. This seat does not fit the CB500X unfortunately. I purchased this off somebody who used it for 1 season and am selling for less than I paid, so I can get it out of my place and buy the correct seat for my bike. The kijiji ad has some...
Thanks!! I'm going to shoot them a message and see what happens. I like the bike and hard to look past the price if it's really in the shape that shows in those pictures. I wouldn't know any shops in that area, would I be crazy to not have it inspected in the case it had been babied, he had...
And on this note I'm off to order an H2 :D. I hope you're being sarcastic. I'm quite aware that as someone else mentioned, I'm barely scratching the surface with what is more like 2 months of actual riding experience. I just got a little bored with the 250 and want something with a little more...
Appreciate the insight from everyone.! Im 26, in GTA. Sounds like I either have to accept the insurance rates on a bigger bike or settle for a little less power for a year or two.
I ran a couple quotes on new bikes and I think insurance makes buying new not really an option. I'm hoping to pay less than $2.5k/yr (on the fz). Is that unreasonable, or way too much?
I will give them and a few other places a call re: the fz08 but keep in mind I've only been riding since July.
Big fan of both of these bikes, but new they might be a little out of my price range when its all said and done. The FZ07 might be worth looking into, but the FZ08 was over $3k a year for insurance.
I can, have a garage available to me I'd just have to ride a couple hours to the rents place...
Looking to pick up a new bike, I've been riding for about 3 months and just wrote off my 2012 Ninja 250 in a not at fault (taxi, U-turn). Was looking at an Fz08 and pretty much had my mind made up I was buying it until I got a quote from insurance. Wasn't overly surprised as I know they say over...
