Consider it's like the statistic that more than 50% of marriages end in divorce. How many people have you heard of being on their 4 or 5 marriage?
On another note, finally free after 3 days of jury duty. Didn't get selected. Didn't really expect to be, even if chosen for one of the panels...
"Wonka" - I thought that I'd give it a go, on the basis of people whose opinions I respect giving it a thumbs-up, but it's really not my thing. The Gene Wilder movie used incidental music as a form of punctuation. This one is just a classic musical in which people break into song, for absolutely...
One of the vanishingly small number of repeat offenders who will keep offending, until their freedom is taken away. Given that there are 6 parole violations those could be converted to incarceration, for the remaining terms.
Basically a Victorian superhero story and brilliantly told. It's also the first time I've seen the word Strowlers used, though it's written Strollers, outside of a friend's ongoing web series of modern magic.
I want to say that the rig driver is at fault but when I was in high school a co-worker had the hood of his car run over by a fire truck, and the driver was charged with careless. Blew straight through a red light without checking the intersection or even slowing down, which is a no-no.
Peel has at least one as well. Something like a 6 rotor jobbie. It was annoyingly hovering over my neighbourhood, for hours, the day after someone "aired-out" a unit down the street. No idea what it was looking for as it had been more than 8 hours after the shots were fired, when it showed up.
A lot of John Woo's stuff is really good. Especially the early stuff. Just don't look for any deep meanings ;)
"Mission Impossible: 2" is, however, absolute junk. Well, I'd say that about pretty much all of them anyway, since I watched the original TV show when it was first released. To me it's...
"He did it out of fear." they said. That's not a man showing fear. That's someone who is angry that he doesn't get to go hands-on so starts kicking, so that he can get his licks in. He didn't "lose $30K." He made a couple of hundred thousand that he didn't deserve.
Yeah, that's definitely stupid, as is the concept of pulling off to the left, instead of all the way to the right, unless the vehicle failed in exactly that location.
Set yourself up with a camera at the bottom of the ramp from 410 south to 401 east, around 5:00am, and you can get easily 8 hours of the same sort of idiocy as people cross the gore before the merge, to try and get around people who are merging properly.
There would be a few possible reasons.
1 - It could result in incrimination for the officer.
2 - It might sound like they were "trying to get their story straight", giving the appearance of impropriety.
3 - There could be a mandate, from the department, that shooting incidents are not to be...
Dangerous operation is always a tough charge to prove but often it's the only just charge. Under charging in order to virtually guarantee a conviction is why so many complain about short sentences for crashes involving the death of a motorcyclist.
