    PanAm HOV lanes

Looked in the Laws, HTA, etc forum thinking that was the relevant spot. So, no, I didn't look in the general forum. Thx for the quick answer. 1983 CB450SC Nighthawk

    PanAm HOV lanes

Noticed that the HOV lanes on Lakeshore East are open to motorcycles. Anyone know if this is this true on the highways too? 1983 CB450SC Nighthawk

Every Thursday night - Lakeshore and Leslie???

Last night was great - must have been over 100 bikes. A nice mix of new & old (bikes and folks, that is). Love that this is literally 4 blocks from my house. Saw another Nighthawk there last night (a 650, not 450 like mine). First time seeing another NH. I'll be back again over the summer...

Side bag recommendations - Honda CB450

[The Atv bags I had to measure and sew the middle loop to fit my 90 Kat600 properly. They can come on sale very cheap if you can wait. I may have an old set stored away I will look for them. If you need a loop or bracket just buy and bend some brake line to fit...

Side bag recommendations - Honda CB450

Awesome response - thanks everyone! I assume mounting the standoffs is relatively simple too. It'll be a while before I get them but I'll try to post a pic when done. Thanks, too, BrownBrady for the fellow NH recommendation. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Side bag recommendations - Honda CB450

Hey all, Wondering if anyone has recommendations for side bags for my 1983 Honda CB450 Nighthawk. I've seen bags that straddle under the seat like the photo. Anyone know where I might get something like this? Leather or fabric, I'm not fussy. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Newly Licenced!

I've only had my m2 for 3 yrs but I'm 40 so that probably is a big part of why I get a cheaper rate. I also have liability only since the bike's not worth more that about $1,500. I'm with The Personal (now Desjardins I think) and I have our house and car insured with them as well. I didn't call...

    Newly Licenced!

Wow - that is really high. It's probably an age issue but, still, that's crazy. Call an actual insurance company to get a more accurate quote. You could always opt for a 30 year old bike. I have a CB450 and its $180/yr since it's considered a 'classic'. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    New rider - Toronto (1983 CB450SC)

The tach wasn't an issue an the bike passed safety without trouble. That's the good news. The not-sot-good news is that I took of the cam cover to try and identify an oil leak and overtorqued the cam cover bolt - sheared it off. Now I need to get a tap and dye set. I will call TO Cycle Salvage...

    New rider - Toronto (1983 CB450SC)

Thanks everyone - what a great welcome. Here are a few pics (including when it was strapped into the back of our Honda Odyssey to get it home). Thanks for the offer of the tach too. I didn't know the ratios so that's very helpful too. I'll check out the Bike Yard.

Honda Nighthawk CB450SC for a new rider?

Also picked up a 1983 Nighthawk today and stuffed it in the back of my Odyssey. . Sounds like we have similar carb issues which will hopefully get sorted out soon.

    New rider - Toronto (1983 CB450SC)

Hi everyone. Picked up a new-to-me a 1983 CB450SC Nighthawk today. I was hunting for a CB since I owned and loved a CB100 for a few years in Bermuda. So happy to have another CB in front of my house. The 1983 runs a little rough and the tach is not working but I love the bike - the look and...
