My bikes is white. It reminds me of The Lone Rangers horse "Silver". Sometimes when I'm out for a ride I find myself yelling into the wind "hiyow Silver away !".
With my helmet on I imagine people are asking themselves "who was that masked man" . If I'm riding with someone I pretend they are...
Oh cummon get over yourselves. Seems to me just another thread so you can all go on about yourselves & what you own & blah, blah, blah. Post some pics of what you've got lardy dah. Go on about wot ya thinkin' about getting. Engage in some mutual admiration. Some oneupmanship here & there...
The Harley demographic has changed B4 & will change again. When my friends & I rode them in the late '70s to early '80s we were mostly factory workers & trades guys. That changed to doctors, dentists, lawyers, business owners & such. We got the RUBS, Hamsters, & a lot of coke dealers. I see...
I'm even older. If I can't remember it , it doesn't matter !. I've never asked to see a spread sheet on fuel consumption or any of the intricate details of someones bike ownership. This is all really absurd to me. Year, # of owners, mileage, condition, yes. Don't need to know how many oil...
Ummm... it might be now. I'l take your word for it !. But do we have the ability to provide charging power if everyone shifts to electric vehicles. I've seen the plug ins at parking garages. What if there is a big shift that way & most or even half of drivers/riders want to plug in & charge...
Let's not overlook the fact that electrical energy has to come from somewhere. If it's not solar, hydro, or wind, it's going to be atomic or coal !!. :(
Too many people seem to think "Electric" is completely clean. They have no idea that is has to be generated some how. Perhaps the acceptance &...
I thought I'd be the last person to be interested in such a thing. The noise, shaking, & smell of oil & petrol were/are so much part of the experience.
Still... I'm openminded & interested. The" loud pipes save lives thing" is just such a pathetic excuse for those that ride a bike just to try to...
Well we all know if you are rich & famous for anything you automatically have the God given talent to ride/drive hyper sport vehicles to their full potential.
That's why you never hear of movie stars, rock stars, or professional sports figures crashing these high tech conveyances.
The problem with those drop down visors if you wear glasses, you are now looking through 3 layers a good distance apart. Could be a bit weird & distorted.
I had heard that the transition shields did deteriorate over time. Saw Bells acoupla years ago for a decent price that came with them for...
Yah... I know. Was not being judgemental. Just making sure. There were indications to me that this was a fairly new venture for this guy. Sometimes things go easy. Sometimes the process is fraught with disappointment & frustration. No point in going through it only to realize it seemed like a...
Jeeeezzzz!!! I thought i was on a thread about sumthin totally different  .
Wasn't it about riding vs risk?/ being responsible to yer family, etc.
How did we get onto yer fuggin bowl movements & dietary details o_O .
So that means you ultimately want a 7 or 8 year old luxo tourer.??. It's not really even a kruzzer. It's a highway barge. Wonder what mileage you'd be lookin at by then. I'm guessing that you expect to get a deal on a low mileage bike, owned by someone who never used it. This niche of bikes does...
I would say that these "dark siders" probably don't ride very well in the first place, or they would notice the ill handling effects when riding a motorcycle properly.
They've got highway pegs & crash bars so wide that they can't lean more than a coupla degrees without grinding pavement anyway...
I've not read to the end of this thread yet, so hope I'm not repeating someone else's comments.
First I'd like to say for you not to be down about this situation. There's always another deal around the corner. You might be glad you got the next one instead. You didn't even see it, so don't...
If it's the cruiser sorta style, I don't like 'em.
If it's the more "standard"/"tourer"style, I like very much. I've seen that tank style re-purposed on cafe bikes of different makes. Made me think the whole bike could be kool cafe styled. I think the engine is supposed to be perky & reliable...
If you are willing to except the fact you can't ride as much with a family, & ride a bike that makes sense for the use it will get under the circumstances, I think there should be no problem.
I ended up with custody of my 3 kids for 12 years B4 the last one went out on their own. I was a...
