With the nice Oct and first week of November I actually got in over 1,200 km in 4 weeks and even took last Wed off (when it got up to 13) and had the 1st service done at Maranello BMW (on BMW's dime for 3 years :)). But yeah, the next 5 months will be looong indeed.

I picked up a brand new R18 Classic (traded in the Monster) a couple of weeks ago when they had it listed for $8k off. Best to go directly to their website to see the discounts as it wasn't showing anywhere else as I recall.

Are all of those roads unpaved @shanekingsley ? I was out in the Highlands again over the weekend (this time the southeast section - we stayed in Cloyne) and made a point of doing a road you've mentioned called S Lavant Rd. It was gravel for a almost half of it before it went to paved at...

A few of us did The Highlands Thurs & Fri. No fall colours out yet but it's always a treat to ride those empty & curvy roads. 917 km from the time I left the house to when I got back.

I was seriously looking at those 401's before I decided for a 2-3 grand more the Scrambler was worth the extra $ ... it's now sold regardless.

The Monster is just way more torque and HP than the Scrambler 800 with the same claimed wet weight. The thing's a riot.

I do love my 2019 Icon but after riding my 2023 Monster it's a letdown power wise but it's got it's other charms that makes it stay in the stable for me.

I've done Awenda a few times ... the canopy of trees is pretty well the whole way through - magical.

Yeah my GXP also had a manual (only G8 that came with one) and a 6.2 L LS3 V8 but no lumpy idle so that one had a cam or a cam tune which can simulate the same sound at idle. I flew to Nebraska and drove it back as the GXP trim never did come to Canada.

I had the North American version of that car, a 2019 Pontiac G8 GXP.
