    F1 Thread!!!

Absolutely checked out.. engines turned all the way down and still STOMPING on the competition. Akin to having 19,000rpm but only "racing" with 15,000rpm on a bike.. "kinda wanna go full quali-mode @the rest of the grid, gimme some reason for the team to allow me to go all out"

    Sledge or Electric Jack Hammer/Drill?

Not sure where you're located, but I'm seeing talks of rental places further out of the GTA, any chance there are amish/mennonites in your area?

    Gear from Temu

I prefer Temu since the pricing is often just a fraction more than AliE, but ships much quicker in my experience. Stuff like wellnuts, fender clips/bolts, odd stuff that you would normally find in a dollarstore (fabric shavers) etc.

    Moto Camping refresher...

I have a CRUA branded hammock, that doubles as a swag if no trees are around. No need to bring a spare tent, but one thing to note: when it's all said and done, the total size to pack is close to that of a regular 1 person tent due to the fly material. TINY aka cozy is how I'd describe it. Best...

    Moto Camping refresher...

I run a TI BRS from ali, that's my beater stove that I use 99% of the time, saving the MSR for backup. Also use it to start the fire when a cheat code is necessary. Have not swapped back to a tent after adopting hammock camping. Highly recommended, Hennesey and CRUA are great. I always camp...

    Snell taking a beating.

I have the end all, be all solution to all these issues, one that make everyone apart from Mr. Wallet happy. Keep your SNELL Buy an ECE In a nutshell, I think they're concluding that SNELL works great for collisions at high speeds and in a cage ECE is arguably better for low speeds and therefore...

Best sport touring bikes for long distance

VFR-riders always creep out of the bushes to +1 our own. If you don't like the plastics, you can always sell the OEM fairings for a pretty penny as they are highly sought after due to the poor aftermarket Chinese fitment alternatives. You might be able to get it all done for 1/10th of your $15k...

    Firebox Stove

They're neat, but I don't use one any more (lost the first). You can also find knockoffs for $25 + month(s) in transit. I used to keep a few sticks of kindling to keep the "supports" from excessive rattling during transit, and sandwich any excess bits of birch so it's dry and available next time...

What's your plans (or dreams?) in retirement?

Great ideas here. I'm gonna make friends with someone that runs/operates a farm and help out part time with days on spent on a skidsteer/backhoe/excavator.

    Adventure Motorbike Camping

I would wager regualr provincial parks are HOT SPOTS for black bears. I was car-camping with a large group (2-3 sites) 2 years ago at Bon Echo or Killbear. We were not careful enough with coolers/bear boxes and a mother and 2 cubs came through and cleaned out our coolers. I was fast asleep but...

Who's still riding? (Fall & Winter 2020 Edition)

Got caught in the rain with my leathers on Friday evening without my gortex/winter jacket maybe 15 mins from home. Bruuuuuuuuuuutal. Just a friendly reminder to folks that want to partake in near-zero temps: Great gortex shell, mid layer with a puffy jacket of some sort, and then some tight...

    CBD cream

The elderly in my family use Buddah Bar with great success. Spotlighted by my 95 year old grandma, still strong as an ox, now with less discomfort day-to-day.

    My Ridgeline

The n54/n55's certainly will be more maintenance than the n52, exponentially so if they get high into the miles. What type of driving represents the 90% of usage for this toy? Short drives in city? Longer drives? I can learn to like the n52 with the BMW performance exhaust (loved it actually)...

    Crossboarder Pickups - direct number?

Sorry, I'd expect to need to pay the duties/taxes for a warranty replacement. It's not CBP that you need to appease, they're just the middlemen. You/CBP needs to appease the agents at border control. And with CBP's business, (bringing in a truckload of other people's crap), paperwork/trail...

    My Ridgeline

They're all relatively cramped, but the NB's with the OEM bells and whistles will be (again, relatively) competitive with the 5-10 other miatas when you show up to a random autox/lapping day. Best thing about Miatas (and brz/frs): there's gonna be local camaraderie and competition at any...
