    Worth it??

The white bike is a H1 in a S2 frame. In my opinion, the H1 in the S frame (reinforced) is the best combo for a triple.

    Worth it??

It's surprisingly streetable although he's opted to add reeds to it this winter to make it better for the street. The exhaust port is pretty aggressive so a bit tougher on rings but he hasn't re-ringed it in at least 3 seasons. Fwiw, I believe the 150 spec is at the crank, not at the rear...

Actually, my buddy who was on the yellow RZ in Campbellville has a H2 with a 150 HP FBG motor that he rides on the street... His son has a S2 with a 500 motor in it similar to mine. The H2 a quick bike for sure! I've ridden it a few times and for sure you want to have a good grip on the bars...

There were allot of sweet bikes there that day in Campbellville, I was drooling over the Eddie Lawson replica! Wow! The bike in the pic is from a UK builder, he does awesome work and must have deep pockets considering some of his projects. I like how he changed the tank badge on this one. Lol

This seems to be the on-going myth about these bikes! "Flexie flyer" "widow maker" pffft sloppy oem nylon swingarm bushings were probably the biggest culprit for this reputation. In reality, they handled just as well as most of the bikes from the 70's. As I said previously, they can be tamed...

    Worth it??

It can be a challenge to get them jetted correctly but once there, you really only need to change the main jets up 1 size from summer to spring/ fall riding. I have a 78 KH400 with a H1 motor shoe horned in the frame, after market reeds, stage 2 porting, custom pipes and 35mm flat slides. It's...

    Worth it??

To be honest, the Kawi triple handling issues of the H series were totally blown out of proportion but can be greatly improved with an 18" front wheel, tapered roller bearings in the headstock and good swingarm bushings. No, they don't handle as well as a modern bike but they can be setup so...

    Worth it??

The only thing you are forgetting is the 400 is the most refined of the bunch. Out of the box they are the best handling of the lot. They don't fetch the same coin as the H series but who cares if you just plan to ride it. You biggest worry about taking on this project is the addiction that...

    Other uses of kerosene ?

Kerosene is great for washing bearings because it leaves an oily film. I always pressure wash my crank with it when the motor is apart. Also it can be used for cutting oil with aluminum but then again, so can varsol. It is good for spooge cleanup on my bike but I prefer the smell of WD-40...
