    The first $100 oil change.

Can Am Spudwr OEM oil kit includes full synthetic, filter and all O rings was $184+ HST in the fall. I do my own changes. Dealership charges $350 for kit and change. Takes about 45 minutes for me tondonthe change including pulling fairings and emptying both oil plugs..lol

    Who's still riding? Fall & Winter 2022 (& 2023!) edition!

I rode to London on Xmas Eve 2023 then back to Oshawa on Boxing Day. I was out this past Saturday 10 Feb for about 2 hours in and around Oshawa. That is the bonus of having heated gear and three wheels. NO worry if the rear looses traction..lol

    Safety requirement.

Question for any of the mechanics that do bike safety certificates. In a Can Am Spyder group someone posted about installing tires. Most of us run car tires given these bikes don't lean. He had gone to his dealer who obviously refused to install. NO biggie there is a shop in Port Perry that...

    'Novelty' plates

Blue lights is not an issue. Firstly they MUST be flashing, AND combined with flashing RED lights to the front. Snow removal vehicles use a combination of either just blue flashing or blue and yellow. Under the HTA besides flashing blue/red combo is flashing GREEN. That is reserved for...

Hello, Anyone moved from M1 to M directly?

That is good news indeed, will save you on insurance all the way around. As for the cost to rent the bike. That actually sounds fairly reasonable. Given they are limited by the riding season, so no income during winter. I also can imagine the insurance rates they pay to rent out a bike.

Could this be put on the road?

Yes sckoolies MUST be painted ANY color, other than school bus yellow...lol You also have to have the MTO remove it's classification as a bus to avoid having to have it inspected every 6 months..lol

Hello, Anyone moved from M1 to M directly?

You can try to book the M but I suspect the glitch will be caught and it won't let you book it when the system recognizes you don't currently hold an M2. A LONG time ago I was suspended for medical reasons. I reinstated my G immediately but let my M lapse. I had to do the M1 road test, then 2...

Got a ticket from a camera. Defense?

Just seen this now. I recently seen that, (at least in Oshaw), they now use 2 different camera types for speed. One is the usual, 4 foot high box roadside. The other is similar to the red light cameras, mounted on a pole about 8 - 10 feet off the ground. I am guessing the change is in response...

    Do the numbers count?

Well, because she killed 4 people in one crash, The law, (here), classifies it as one offence. Only if she killed multiple people in separate collisions are they treated, as separate offences. Yes, during sentencin, the judge can view the gravity of the offence. Intent only really comes into...

CAN-AM Demo day Sat June 3 @ Two Wheel Motorsport Guelph

Might want to ride now. in 2015 they moved from the 998cc to 1330cc and they are completely redesigned. Also in my last post I forgot to mention the storage it has a Frunk, (front trunk), rear trunk, and 2 hard saddle bags. I rode to NB/NS border last year, going to Edmonton this summer. Had...

CAN-AM Demo day Sat June 3 @ Two Wheel Motorsport Guelph

I have a Spyder RTL, (all the bells and whistles. Not because I "aged out of 2 wheels), but because of injuries from a previous crash. Also just had shoulder surgery in Jan. the power steering is a god send. They are considered "semi automatic" in that you HAVE to up shift, but the bike...

    Riding an e-scooter in Toronto?

I think, it would be a bit more acceptable, IF the fines were put in a special fund, to compensate those who are hit and injured by one of these. But realistically, It is just another law that won't see any enforcement. Even then IF a ticket were issued, good luck finding a bleeding heart...

If my helmet was stolen ...

I am done. Obviously you can't distinguish subtle differences. between a SAFETY issue riding without a helmet and the increased likelihood of death or serious injury that could result from that as opposed to speeding or as you put it "every provincial offence. There is NO danger to anyone if a...

If my helmet was stolen ...

Bitzz: I didn't reply sooner as I was on vacation in Cuba. I don't sit on this forum waiting for you to post. At NO point did I say the bike would be towed to an impound yard. If the rider wished he/she could have it towed to their residence. That would accomplish 2 things. 1. The rider gets...

If my helmet was stolen ...

I hate to burst your bubble. Can you point me to the section of the HTA that covers impaired operation of a motor vehicle? It too is an offence under the CC of C. Also they need not wait for a conviction to deny coverage. Otherwise, it could take months/years for your case to proceed through...
