I enjoyed it. But it was basically the exact opposite of what I expected to happen.

PickAxe Loop, top portion north Barry's Bay, clockwise or counter-clockwise direction?

My partner and I rode the Pickaxe loop last year on our Groms. I'm a decently experienced dirt biker and she's a complete noob. If you watch this video, we did the Paugh Lake section all up to the 16:13 mark. I did have to help her get her bike up one of the really rocky climbs close to the...

When does a bike have too many hours?

200 hrs wouldn't be an issue to me. Especially on a 2T. I had over that on a KTM 200xcw that was still on the original clutch. Changed the top end about 3 times and the bottom once. You will probably want to change all the bearings and seals though.

    This makes me angry

Yup. Factory farming. The more I learned, the more I was disgusted. But because they're not cute little puppies, no one gives a ****.

Agreed, but I wish they left Elvis at home. Absolutely no comparison to Band of Brothers either. But still a really good watch.

    Water damaged drywall

I will never never never do drywall again. I'd done bits here an there in the past and after watching some videos I felt much more confident. So when it came time to finish my basement, I was gunho to do it. I did the framing, electrical, plumbing, and hung all the drywall. Easy peasy. The...

Knives - What are you using in the kitchen??

I would never support an MLM, so cutco is definitely out. I absolutely love cooking, and do it all in my household. I bought a Japanese Nikiri style knife from SHARP Knife Shop, online. I really really wish I would have done this much sooner. I love the feel of the handle, and the blade has...

    Possible Paving Scam?

Right? I thought those posts were someone joking. You're right on the money here.

Law Enforcement - The Good, The Bad, The Ugly.....

Unfortunately a breathalyzer isn't going to detect anything other than alcohol. I work with someone who, it's pretty obvious, is high on pills from time to time.

Wanting to try trail riding, any suggestions on bike?

Great point! I didn't even occur to me that one might try to ride offroad on something other than a 21" wheel. In my mind it was a given that even if it was an SM, it would have proper size rims and tires for offroad.

Wanting to try trail riding, any suggestions on bike?

I wouldn't get too hung up on the S or SM for the DRZ. Just get whichever is the better deal for you. I can almost guarantee this won't be your forever or only bike. I believe you'll learn from it and then get a better bike for what you end up enjoying more.

Wanting to try trail riding, any suggestions on bike?

You've gotten mostly great advice so far. My riding experience started on a DRZ400 because I thought it was a great inbetween bike. After the first year doing the Bethany ride and some other ODSC rides, I realized I really preferred single track. And after riding from Brampton to the Ganny...

    TV shows currently watching

Holy crap. I feel it started out so well, but as the future was more and modified, it just got dumber and dumber. My partner and I laugh and say the writing could be done by a 12 year old. It's so simple and predictable. The acting is good (even though we both want Ed to just die and piss...

Has the city lost it's mind...

I don't live in Toronto, but I'm curious if the sidewalks get cleared before the streets? In Brampton, the sidewalks would get cleared the next day, maybe. I do understand the issue people are having, but I think they're just treating the bike lanes the same as the roads, which I think get...

    Benching ZX10R, buying KLX300 for a year's use.

My partner and I had a blast doing the Pickaxe loop on our GROM's.

    Stocks

After doing lots of research a few years ago, I started buying ETF's. Since I was with Scotia, I opened a trading account there, and within that, and RRSP and TFSA. You can certainly open up a trading account with whatever bank you're with, but I would suggest just doing it online, or calling...

    Small displacement motorcycle insurance

Blue plated (on road) bikes have no issues. It's only green plated (off road). Source: My partner and I have GROM's.

    Benching ZX10R, buying KLX300 for a year's use.

I'm curious how you think a 300cc bike won't survive? I have a GROM and I'll take that everywhere except 100km/hr roads. Sure, I won't get where I'm going fast, and I'll take all the side roads, but isn't that what you want to do on a bike? If you're shooting straight up on the highway, the...

    Right of way, Wrong?

I don't know the law, but I would say you're wrong. In my view, what you're referring to is an intersection with two stop signs. So those facing stop signs have to stop, while the others don't. So I think, just like a four way stop, it should be treated like that for anyone with a stop sign...

To Censor or not to Censor?

Since the sale to a company it is this way. Before, it was way better, where people could have conversations without fear of being banned. I always referred to that site as a place for adults to go, whereas I find this site to be way too PG.
