I think what basically happened is the R1 Rider had no insurance/friends' (possibly stolen) bike....he realized that he was ****ed. So the next logical thing to do was flee..what a ****** bag!!

Still searching for a ride.. btw why is it that every triumph for sale have such low KM's? I mean most of the ads i see they have less then 5k and selling.. Any particular issues with them? I love how they stand out from the typical Jap bikes and the sound of the triple is like nothing else :o.....

Thanks for the info, I've been searching the whole of Ontario on kijiji :/. Looking specifically for a 07+ cbr 600RR under 15k price range $7k maybe a bit more, and finally in red color :| I don't think I can make it anymore difficult lol..

Besides the typical places is there any other websites you guys visit to search? So far I'm checking: GTAM classified section, kijiji, craigslist (not that usefull) and finally Autotrader (again pretty useless) are there other sites that I'm missing?

I guess things have changed a lot, my first bike was a 06-gsxr-600 I was 23..I believe I payed $1600/year (Single vehicle). This was with statefarm.. I now pay $960/year for full coverage..(Multi vehicle) still with the same people..over 25 now. Try giving them a call: Address: 11 Harwood Ave...

That is indeed a sweet ride!! I would have the dough if i didn't purchase those shiny stones worth $8k for our 5th anniversary :o But honestly, after that last rear end on my parked bike (last week)...I feel very unlucky.. it's twice in 3 years!

How annoying!!! I used to park on this sidewalk that was out of the way And then last week a rider advised me to park on the street...because of this news..so I moved my bike over to street parking..and the SAME day I find my bike rear ended by an SUV after work!!

I love everything about this bike, problem is i just never rode it...and it's a bit out of my price range. Leaning towards the ol' gixxer, Daytona, or CBR.. which ever I can get a good deal on first. Now my hunt begins..

I do live the gixxer, the only thing is I absolutely HATE the design starting from 08 and onward.. So it's difficult to find a 06/07 with low KM's as they're getting older..

Hey guys, it's pretty much official. After the bike was rear ended it's being written off.. Now I'm on the market again for another bike, the last 2 I had were gixxers (07's...over the last 5 years). I've been meaning to change bikes but I can't seem to make up my mind towards which one: Ninja...

Yes, I think this will be a write off as well, the cost to replace the parts is a grand total of $3149.18. And this doesn't even include the labor & figuring it what is wrong with it i.e not starting as everything inside the bike is less then 1 year old.. stator, rectifier, battery, etc..
