I bought my bike from a guy in Ottawa (Orleans) and I guess I have to agree. Just by looking at kijiji ads after the fact for a couple of months, I'm confident that I got a pretty good deal compared to prices in the GTA. I bought in July.
I have a five year old and only started riding this year. I think my kid probably factored into my decision to buy a small bike. But mostly it was inexperience.
Like others have said, I try and take every precaution possible, wearing hi-viz, I don't really ride in traffic or busy streets. No...
July 6th + 61 days is Wednesday, September 5, 2012 (tomorrow)
I think you can probably go on the 60th day which is the Tuesday, but might as well be safe.
the MTO will give you a temp license with M2 on it and then your new license will come in the mail.
Here's something I didn't know. The...
If you don't find one, you could buy a 8' wooden plank from Home Depot for $4. Would do the trick. I loaded and unloaded a bike into a pick up using one.
On Durham 13 this morning, I was pulled over looking at Google Maps to get my bearings. Some guy on a bigger black bike honked and slowed down to make sure I was okay.
Thanks dude. Much appreciated.
Haha cool. I was struggling on the way home with this ride. My butt was numb, my legs felt cramped, just all around exhuasted. It was my first time riding for this long though.
You just tacked another 2 hours onto the ride, I don't know if I would have been able to handle it!
I agree about...
Actually went with a couple other guys and someone else lead. But he had a tank bag with a map pocket. He basically wrote down the directions.
"Continue on street A for 6.8km's then turn right at street B."
and so on. I do plan on getting a RAM mount though.
Some info on the NRR ratings you see. I believe Shoppers Drug mart offers NRR 30 or 31 plugs so even if they're cheap, they're effective. As long as they fit in your ear properly and you are wearing them properly. They're not for everyone.

Saw a couple guys riding Twyn Rivers Drive tonight. I decided to do a second lap of the little circuit that includes Beare Rd and Plug Hat Rd and saw you again I think on the second trip.
Were you guys riding just Twyn Rivers back and forth?
I try and go out there either at the beginning or...
Yeah the ramp is mesh, not solid.
I rented one a few weeks back when I picked up my CBR250R from Ottawa. Easy on, easy off and the wheel chock comes in handy.
I used alot of gas hauling it around though. Could barely make it to Ottawa on a full tank of gas in a 4cyl Hyundai Tucson.
They're still calling for rain. You still get 30 mins after sundown, and we can surely go during daylight hours. I was in the same M1 position only last week!
Of course! We need a location and time. There's a rather large parking area at 48 and Stouffville Rd. (Main St. Stouffville) There's a Tim Horton's there.
Just need a date/time if that location works.
