I choose to believe these are just silly jokes, otherwise it's pretty sad focusing on the count of someone's posts... Are you very proud of making many posts on GTAMotorcycle forum J_F?
Are all of you posts so uninformative?
just building a "body of knowledge/experience" here via sharing my experiences with others by documenting my impressions. I am returning the favour; I received a lot of good advice here when I asked my question. Having a an opportunity to learn and share experiences is why I registered here in...
I wanted to follow up and answer my own question 8 years later with my experience now, in case anyone is looking for answers for the same question.
I ended up buying and enjoying a 98 GSXR 750 (fuel injected, 135 hp) that was one of the lightest, best handling and the best superbike of that...
I haven't ridden KTM 690, but I want to:)
From my experience, if you like torque, 750 may not be enough for you.
I just switched from my 98 GSXR 750 to 06 GSXR 1000 -1, +2 and love it. I now get similarly-felt amount of torque at 4k as I used to have at 10k on 750, in other terms 4th gear...
This is just to help people who may be in the same situation I was before. I appreciate the help of others who replied to me back in 2012 and I wanted to do the same.
a belated update - I ended up buying a 1997 GSX-R750. My worries re power not warranted. Before 60, acceleration is not impressive and to feel the rush I have to bring it through 2nd over 140-160. It does feel heavier than I expected after reading up. It's all relative. Overall good fun, but I...
Thank you Brian P and meme for your help.
I checked out Pro 6 and they do have R6 @$300/day and Moto Nation has choices of 250 @$150/day and 600/750/1000 @$300/day. These seem like great options. Pro 6 also offers private or semi-private classes which sounds awesome. Looks like one has good...
Thanks a lot to smergy and all who replied.
Does anyone know tracks or track events, except for FAST instructions, that will rent out a track bike?
Also, is it best to buy a non-track bike and turn it into track or it is very possible to find a decently running dedicated track bike? My...
Hi all, I would truly appreaciate your help on non-street sport bike use near Toronto with detailed questions below:
I would like to buy a sport bike (not dirt bike) to ride exclusively on tracks or private roads as I would like to fully avoid driving on public roads. After a long-period of...
Thanks KJM and omnivore for sharing your experience and providing very useful advice. This is reassuring to hear about the tame nature of the 4 cylinder engine. At least I can be in control if I am disciplined enough to keep rpm low while getting used to the power.
Thanks for your reply jay-d.
I guess the last paragraph provides the answer I am looking for: sounds like there is no answer and it is rather a trial-and-error kind of exercise for everyone.
In regards to the different types of bikes. I do realize that KTM Enduro would have to be used...
Hi all, after 15-year pause, I am planning to return to riding this Summer of 2012 (got my M2 in December of 2011) so this is not a "first bike" type of question.
I had ridden 160kg, two-stroke 350cc street bike for 4 years back in a day and before that a number of smaller bikes and scooters...
