Side stand looks faily untouched, but will have a look. Correct. Can get it into 1st and then back to neutral.. A quick search shows there might be a clutch safety switch. Hopefully thats the only switch. Not yet, will take a look tomorrow.

I have had luck with Held, although I'm slightly bigger than you at 5'8" and 160. I'm a small in Joe Rocket and Olympia, but a medium in Held and Alpinestars. I currently have a Held Tropic jacket.

The seal is silicon I believe. Can be removed and is useful for cleaning it. There is another version that glues in, and gives a better anti-fog, but is pretty much what you said, a 1 time install. The pinlock lens is also more pliable and not nearly as 'tough' as the actual shield...

My comments all were regarding the video of the BMW trial that Toronto police had done. They had appropriate markings on their jackets, bikes, and, I think, pants also. Like I said, it would probably be beneficial to have something on the helmets, since they had no identification on them.
