    Valve Clearance Check

Soooo, the most important thing here is to walk those cam caps down evenly and with super light pressure. If it breaks you’re fcuked, so don’t break it lol. They can get hung up on a dowel pin and crack if you’re being reckless. Obv make sure your timing is correct too. Hot cams makes a shim...

Where do you get your welding gas?

I used to go to Linde on north queen in Etobicoke. They weren’t the cheapest but very convenient, knowledgeable and it was always a breeze to exchange. Now they’re messer. Hopefully just the name has changed. Back in the day it was about $200 for a filled little guy bottle of argoshield light...

    Stator Cover Replacement

Motor size would be helpful. use sightglass/dipstick. Yes you can lean it over but make sure there's no debris in there anywhere based on the assumption that it fell over and the cover cracked

    Air compressor for home garage

If you're interested in longevity and the greatest cfm, go with something oil lubricated. Oil-less uses a diaphragm or a self-lubricating piston, usually made of teflon, but it wears down and loses its ability to seal and build pressure over time. It also creates more heat, which is the enemy of...

Your rotors are fine, I suspect the pistons are sticking. Did you clean them before pushing them back? They shouldn't have any poop on them at all.

RSV1000R - How is the maintenance and what are some common faults?

Yeah I'd say a couple weeks is average for OEM Aprilia parts if its a relatively common item.

    Full Face Helmet

Rode for a couple years with bell/HJC's. Then I bought a Shoei Qwest and never looked back...Until I bought my first Arai and I don't think I could ride with anything else anymore.

RSV1000R - How is the maintenance and what are some common faults?

As mentioned, I've seen several issues with the clutch not fully disengaging, oil leaking from seals/gaskets and getting parts from Aprilia can be a nightmare. I/e make sure it breaks down in the winter lol

    Full exhaust systems

Akro tends to always make the most gains with a proper dyno tune, which is critical. The weight savings with a full Ti system is also beneficial. As mentioned though, its expensive...to the point of being comparable with upgrading to a litre bike. Gotta decide what works for you.

Are you sure you had it on the 12V setting? Some of them have a 6V too.

    Is my bike F'ed

Theres no coolant passages under the valve cover. Check your oil, change if you're paranoid and see if any comes out. The thermostat housing for that bike is right under the tank, top centre. It probably leaked out from that area and travelled. Remove the tank and check for residue in that area.

    TTC bus takes out e-bike

While I don't like to see anyone get hurt, its obvious that the e-bike rider does not have any sense of riding defensively, which I feel is the most important thing you need out there. Don't argue with steel because you'll loose every time, even of you're right.

Can any auto shop do a bike safety?

I trailered a bike to a car shop for a safety once. Mechanic told me to sit on it, start it up, turn on all the lights and honk the horn. Chatted about how he used to ride back in the day and handed me the paper. They're all different. The old timer mechanic license can write motorcycle...
