    The Cold It's here

Sorry that I offended so many with my grammar, etc. As far as many of you that have ridden in the cold, well that's just special. The point I was trying to make in case some may have missed it is how bonding the bikes are. There are times when we don't want to hop on and go riding due to weather...

    The Cold It's here

Last Sunday Morning, I had to ride, so I took my Burgman rather than my bike. It is great for blocking wind!,as I said I had to I did not want to but had to. Long story shortened, at Timmie's near Princess Auto on Dixie Rd. I pulled in and to my surprise there were two bikes on the lot. I Said...

November riders...post your rides. Season's not over yet

The cold is valid to a point. As long as the road is clean and dry I ride mainly my Burgman 400 rather than the old 1100. It cuts the wind and has great protection. No shifting means you can wear large winter boots. I ride to have fun and commute as often as I can. Just be careful on the colder...

Bike died on highway... Need advice

I change my batteries every 4 years (convectional batteries) weather they need or not. Low batteries taxes the charging system greatly. Heated charging systems have a good chance of failure. Low batteries and bad charging systems generally make for bad performance to no performance. Look at them...

This something William Shatner could do on weird or what? (well not really)

I guess, so far no one has used one have they? There must be one rich basted out there, get one and try it and we will all be nice and hear for your verdict. But I don't think that's going to happen. I'll just wait for the slight chance of a trigger for green lights owner to appear. And they...

This something William Shatner could do on weird or what? (well not really)

Did anyone ever use one of those devices that help activate the dreaded red lights to change green once of course you stop on one of those, I guess magnetic pick up buried road sensors. They don't cost much but I can't believe they work. I am now becoming the "U"-turn King because of prolonged...

    Retro bikes

Hi Honduhmatic. Thanks, That was stress relief, I bought it for parts, it was a 79. I am mainly interested in my 78. It is more powerful, and handles a lot better, cruises a lot easier. Yea Yamaha progressively worsened that model in North America until they changed it to a FJ1200. The Fj1100...

    Confused????

Hey, Live and ride, Be a Canajen and use Kilometers. This is a bike forum we don`t drive we ride man. And to answer your question I figure about 5 hours. After the first half our one might need a beer, so then you wait a while (let`s not piss MADD off) and then you resume until completion...

    Retro bikes

According to many of us bike dudes and dudettes there is so much that should not exist. I think if your going for retro it`s up to you. About fake carbs, well what about things like fake scoops (no disrespect) on lets say something that is not retro, but something like a v-max. I like real old...

    Steam cleaner

I like a clean machine, I hate doing it but still do. The steam cleaner is but one of my weapons against dirt in tight place. Works well

Ok to Accept Certified Check as Payment?

If in doubt don.t take it. The acquisition of a bike is in most cases is not that time sensitive, the bike won't spoil. Take Red's advice and together go to your bank to have the matter secured there. Don't forget, get other ID. eg: drivers lenience, if a motor vehicle is there get the plate...

    Confused????

Try going faster it might help. You now have good practice, so I figure the faster you get out of the apex the less chance of you falling there. I figure if you do about 140, your chances of falling should decrease about 50%. Good luck.

    Building your own bike

I found a lot of the above very informative. However, now for something completely different I sometimes wondered how some, shall we call them "Creations" you see on the road could get on the road, whether a shop has a Gov. approved certificate to do so or not. Many can be felt by a blind man's...

    Interior of gas tank

I usually see metal in a metal tank (no blue at bottom) Who knows what available treatments there are? Try to find out from the manufacture if it is a norm for that bike, try asking the present owner, try scraping it with a wooden skewer to see if any thing gets loose. Who knows it may be OK. If...

Has any one used the services of "fast by Gast"

Hi Ravo; Thanks for the input, as I said I don't need it for racing but no matter what I decided I will do it. My bike was known for a faulty 2'nd as long as this cures it, even if it is a bit harder to shift I will do it. But you say it's smoother so that is more encouraging.

Has any one used the services of "fast by Gast"

Hi,Thanks Delboy. I got quick response from Paul Gaust after e-mailing him, (very pleased)I am quite sure he does real nice work, he re-tempers the gears etc. I just don't know if the shift is real aggrsessive especialy for a simple sort of sporty street use. I am thinking of using his services...

Has any one used the services of "fast by Gast"

I have heard they do great work on undercutting Trns. gears. For street rides is it an agressive shift or can you get along Ok.

    handlegrip

For GOD sakes man I meant "On" instead of "an" It was a type-O- It said your from St. Kitts I thought it was a Caribbean Island. You keep the smug attitude and I'll simply call you Gilligan. The only thing you will be allowed to ride after that is Mary-Anne. (Hey wait that might not be so bad)
