+1 on the Michelin PR4s. On my Blackbird, they last 14-15,000 kms. Excellent performance in varied conditions.

132,000 km on my 2002 Blackbird. Motul 7100 and Purolator One filters, changed every 6-7000 kms. Burns/loses zero oil. But as others pointed out, different engines have different standards for what is "normal" oil consumption.

+1 to all of the above. There is also 554 just south of Williamsport, connecting with 44. It is an up the mountain and down the other side series of twisties. It is so much of a blast that we often did it back and forth a few times.

I keep the whole wiring harness, attached to battery, coiled under the seat. I just pull out the desired length when using the GPS.

Plates for a SS will cost you around $1100 in Quebec (Quebec has a no fault system, so this $1100 basically pays for what we know as our Accident Benefits), then you add about $300 a year to insure the bike itself. At under $1500 a year, Quebec riders are still faring way better than us.

Yes, almost all good roads around there. One to avoid though is 10 just south of Piseco Lake, between 8 and 29. It looks very tempting (read twisty) on the map but the pavement is in very poor shape: frost heaves, bumps, holes, tons of tar snakes. Did that in a heavy downpour last October...
