No. The crown cannot cross examine a letter. He COULD agree to enter the document, however it holds little value without the person there to state it for the court and be crossed.

Nothing like giving a big break only to recieve a court card. In this case I would bet the officer and crown would seek the amendment. Breaks are ALWAYS offered to some degree in court. Wonder why some bother at the roadside.

Should have made this a poll. I'm 1/1. OPP Guelph schedules their officers 1 day in traffic court for every 4-5 weeks. It is on a scheduled dayshift, and the same officer will have 20 +/- matters. Officers not showing to court without a valid reason; AND approval from a supervisor CAN face a...

He is referring to the unit being tested after the offence. Unit should have been tested prior to and at soe point after. Some retest after each offence, while others will retest at the end of shift. And as stated clear is weather conditions, not lighting conditions.
