    Oil inside Air Filter compartment

My VTX1800 does the same thing sometimes. The big twins will suck a bit of oil out of the crank case. Not that unusual.

cosigning a loan and getting a life insurance

Most credit life policies that are sold at dealerships are group life policies that don't require health assessments, or risk assessments because they are group policies. You do need to disclose pre-existing conditions and you don't get coverage for those conditions if they turn fatal. This...

cosigning a loan and getting a life insurance

The previous post isn't correct. If someone dies and there is still a lien or debt owed on the car the estate doesn't get the car unless the estate first pays the debt. So someone else can't get the car and you end up with the debt. You will either get both, or neither.

Has anyone here ever ridden a forkless bike?

It has been said that fork front suspension is the worst design, but the design everyone understands the best. It inherently joins steering and suspension into one system. The lever effect of fork suspension is huge. If you recall physics, something like a 250kg load at the end of the forks...

    Deceleration wobble?

My VFR did the same thing with a worn Bridgestone on the front. Not scary like an old school tank slapper, just annoying. New Michelins and it went back to being rock steady.

    Selling a bike and paypal

Often they send a fraudulent Paypal confirmation that looks very legit, but when you check your account there is no $$, but by then your item (bike, iphone, laptop, etc.) is shipped. Another variation is that the Paypal account is linked to a stolen credit card, and you get nothing once the...

    Manitoulin Island

Your trip to Thessalon will be quicker and cheaper up 400 to Sudbury, then straight west down the Trans-Canada (hwy 17). You can be in Espanola that way in about 4.5 hours from GTA. Crossing Manitoulin, it will be about 3 hours to the ferry, about 90 minutes across on the ferry, then about 1.5...

relationship between the year on the vin plate and the model year

In most cases you don't need build date for correct parts. When specs and/or parts change mid-year the replacement parts will be most correctly identified by VIN range. In other words, a good parts counter person will ask for the VIN not to understand build date, but to understand parts...

    VFR 800 opinions?

With about 30 years of riding streetbikes, my 2002 VFR800 was the best all around bike I ever owned. People always talk about the complexity of the valvetrain maintenace but they never mention the ease of chain adjustments and tire changes with the single sided swing arm. You may need the valves...
