How important is continuous insurance in Ontario?

Well that's all I was referring to, I meant getting a reasonable rate instead of something crazy like 10k.

How important is continuous insurance in Ontario?

It's finally here and insured for less than $900 for the year. So I just wanted to clarify for those of you who are in the same boat as I was because there's some incorrect information in this thread. Certain insurers are more concerned about the amount of time you've had your full M as opposed...

Apex, GP Bikes or Peninsula Imports

Oh okay, seems like their service department is pretty backed up too. I'm hoping to receive some good news tomorrow but it's all up to the service department now to PDI the bike and get it ready.

How's this going for you? Do you have a delivery date yet?

Is no ABS a deal breaker on a first bike?

Honestly I think you're kind of overthinking it. My next bike happens to have ABS but I, along with everyone else that rides, have been fine for years without ABS. People have been riding for a few decades now without ABS and have been just fine. It's a new feature, sure it'd be nice to have but...

Apex, GP Bikes or Peninsula Imports

Nice, I'm picking up my V2 from there in 2 weeks as well. Apparently they're getting a few bikes in next week.

Should I rush to register for M licence?

It's still worth getting your M as soon as you can. You won't see insurance benefits immediately but I know at least 6 years after your M you do get some big breaks.

She's gone... you have to let her go.

Hope you recover quickly. Those bikes are really nice, I saw a few of them in person when I ordered my bike but unfortunately I didn't get to see one in red. Hopefully they have some available stock for you though, my Ducati seems to be taking a while to get to Canada.

How important is continuous insurance in Ontario?

Yeah sorry to hear that bud, I think I actually came across your thread which is what raised my concern about that. Luckily I spoke to a few brokers and have multiple quotes from different brokers, all of which I'm okay with, so I do have a few backup plans at least. I'm absolutely okay with 2k...

How important is continuous insurance in Ontario?

Brutal, I guess once you get insurance on these things you should just leave it on. I'm assuming they don't care if you sell your toys either? Same thing still applies?

How important is continuous insurance in Ontario?

I guess it can vary depending on each case. I got another quote for 1k/year once I bundled with a car, of course that will likely be the one that I go with. Has he tried asking other companies? Is it his previous insurer that is denying him coverage now?

How important is continuous insurance in Ontario?

Yeah I actually had the conversation with a broker and they told me the amount of time with the M license is much more important than continuous coverage. I got two quotes from different brokers around the 2k a year mark on the Panigale V2. I also got quotes for a GSX-R 750, an Aprilia 660 and a...

How important is continuous insurance in Ontario?

Yeah I had the same concern, I asked if it was guaranteed and he said it was guaranteed for 30 days as long as all the info I gave was accurate. My biggest fear is buying the bike and then not being able to get the coverage. Hope it all goes through okay.

How important is continuous insurance in Ontario?

I just got a quote for 2k for the year for the Panigale. That's with a broker on this forum, apparently its rare to find someone with no tickets/accidents at my age and amount of time with the M. I made it clear that I have no prior motorcycle insurance either so I guess there's still hope for...
