If I'm not mistaken, on the back of the saftey,it states that it met certain basic requirements on the day of inspection only. If you bought it from a dealer they should be willing to make it right.

Most shops wont sell their scrap. Converters are good,but most people know they're worth something, sp you have to pay for them. My brothers average volume auto shop, cashes in around 18k worth of used converters each year. Imports are always more valuable because they have more precious metals...
