I should've mentioned this actually all took place in Montreal. So I went in and filed a complaint, but I doubt I'll hear about it again. She hit my sideview mirror knocking it out of 'place', but there wasn't any damage to my bike (like I mentioned in my earlier post).

Alright I called and looks like I'll have to go down to the station to file a report. I guess I'm off to take care of this, thanks for the advice peeps :eek:.

Thats why I'm iffy about whether I should or not. There was no damage to my bike, but at the same time it was 30 seconds of sheer panic where I had my elbow on her van to keep myself from falling off until she passed.

All this happened in traffic, so at about 30 - 40km/h.

Same laws pretty much apply to motorcycles in Montreal as they do here. You can pretty much park anywhere, as long as its not blocking an entrance, ticket dispensor, or fire hydrant (and anywhere else common sense dictates).

If I leave my bike parked there say between 9am and 6pm and I get a couple of tickets, do they eventually try to tow? Or is their whole ticketing system just some sort of sham to make a quick buck off you York students?
