Edit: Ok clearly I need a little advice here. How do I attach large images?
I’m clicking the little picture symbol then attaching URL from Imgur. But I get these tiny pics...
Help a brother out
Another vote for the Joe Rocket Alter Ego pants, they are a decent riding pant to throw on over any pants. I've gone down while wearing them when I was power sliding my super moto in the rain. Pants held up great, minor damage to the pants and no injuries other than a little spot of rug burn...
Exactly, the manufacturer has already done numerous full throttle to redline runs to make sure the engine is good before leaving the factory. Babying the thing after that is pointless.
I can confirm motoman's break in really works. I've had a fair bit of experience breaking in new engines and tearing down engines for performance builds. Without a doubt the engines that were broke in with the motoman method have far less carbon build up, and used less oil. It's not black magic...
I'm not trying to be a dick man. I don't know how else to say oil cooled bikes don't have a rad.
Everyone starts somewhere, I understand that. The best thing you can do is buy or download a service manual for your bike.
Oil cooled bikes don't have a rad, though some have an oil cooler. They are cooled by the oil circulating in the engine as well as air blowing over the cylinder fins.
Liquid cooled bikes have a rad, and are cooled by the rad fluid running around the cylinders and head then cooling off as it...
No, but it has everything to do with your general mechanical knowledge. If you don't even know if your bike has a radiator (witch is pretty important considering you need to make sure your coolant level is correct and the correct mixture so it doesn't freeze) you should probably just keep the...
Wait so you don't even know if your bike is liquid or oil cooled and you want to fabricate a new mount and re-wire a dash? You sure this is a good idea?
What I don't understand is how oil can be thinner at 0 degrees then at operating temperature? Every oil I've ever seen gets thicker when cold. If a 5w40 is a 5 weight at 0 degrees and 40 weight at operating temperature that just seems impossible.
