    Suzuki of Newmarket

LOL to this! When I bought my new sv650, long story short, took nearly 2 months for me to finally lay my hands on it ONLY after going in and making a scene about it and taking it to their sales manager. The owner then came out and proceeded to try and push me into buying another bike simply...

    West Virginia - US 50 or 55?

I went to WV twice last year, second time I took the i90/i79. Left at 6am, didn't hit traffic until the pittsburg area. Made it into WV in six hours or so with a few stops in there. Had all afternoon and evening for riding the twisties... I would definitely do it again, sure beats riding...

Tire Fix Motorcycle Air Pressure Gauge on sale at CTC

I bought this one a couple years ago when it was on sale, pos... I put it in the tail of my bike thinking it would be fine there, vibrations killed it after one ride and it never turned on again. I have this one: http://www.oxprod.com/index.php?pg=3&action=dept&id=136&pid=158&p= You can...

chain tools and 520 vs 525 chain

+1 for Tony at BSR. Just email him what you want and he will set you up. I personally ordered a 525 chain, sprockets and the Motion Pro chain breaker from him last year for my sv650 and no complaints. The chain breaker was expensive, but didn't break a sweat getting the old chain off.

    Crossing The Border

You guys with Nexus cards crossing the border on your bikes... I just received mine so haven't used it yet, but I'm curious, do you stop and present it to the camera before going to the booth, or just ride straight to the booth. Either nexus or non-nexus lanes.

    Stealth Camping

For the price to camp a night in the states why not pay it, although if the park were full I could see this being a better option then finding some hotel/motel to spend the night. Never really considered it myself, though I do know that Walmart permits people to sleep in their parking lots in...

    Sv650

There is more to a motorcycle then 0-100kph... If thats all you care about then sure, a supersport is an upgrade. $2500 for a supersport for a 21 year old seems cheap, is that just liability?

    Sv650

The sv650 is considered 'sport touring' instead of 'sport' which would bump the premium up a lot. Funny that you consider the sv650 a downgrade, lol. Unless you're going to the track it will most likely be an upgrade compared to the 600 for town riding and what not. Low end power like you...

Sunday Dec 4th - heat wave

I was out for four hours today, went along the shore of Lake Erie from Port Colborne to Port Dover. I only saw 5 motorcycles on the road! No riders in Dover at all. Weather was actually pretty good, a drizzle in Dover but nothing more.

    Mangle finger while cleaning

Hope you heal up good. Its amazing how many people do this. I personally know a few guys who do this and I just shake my head. I also know someone else who had his hand mangled up from doing this, seems like people have to learn the hard way unfortunately.

    Herbert's Fish and Chips

There was a gas station there before? I remember one at the outfitters, thats about it. I can't say I much cared for the fish and chips there in Killarney, although other motorcyclists I've talked to have raved about them. Now the perch in Port Dover is another story...

91 octane vs. 87: I am so dumb.

I definitely agree with this statement, I've gone back and forth from 87 to 91 with my SV and never noticed a difference at all. A SS or SB may be another matter though.

    Custom seat?

I bought a corbin seat for my sv650s this year, had it shipped to US Address to save a few on shipping. Anyways, the seat itself is very heavy compared to stock, and not a whole lot more comfortable. The foam is quite hard and I was told would take 2000 miles(yes miles) to break in. Maybe...

Anyone headed to Renovo Oct 20/21or22?

'very brisk on tight, technical roads' i'm not a fan of more than 150K on public roads Soo, just what roads are tight and technical down around renovo exactly? Sounds like you guys want a track and not a public road....

Trip to Renovo, Pennsylvania On Long Weekend (Oct 7th)

Has anyone rode the 144 south from Renovo down to where it meets the 53(forget the towns name) I did this stretch Sunday, it was amazing. No towns or stops in between, and just a solid corridor of living colour the whole way. Some really nice look out points as well. One with a platform too...
