My best friend is a lifelong pro and comes from a long line of beekeepers, so I know a thing or two. Its his full time livelihood in Alberta. He produces thousands of pounds a year. $24 a pound is robbery! When I run out of free stuff from my buddy I buy it for 15 a kilo from Rae's in Holland...
Good advice here. As long as you own property you will always need a saw once in a while. Trees grow and storms knock them down. Get a small Stihl. It will last forever. I have 2. My 034 is close to 40 years old and runs like new. It has done a LOT of heavy work and never needed repair...
I could never understand why they make jackets with down-is-open zippers. Seems ass backwards to me, but most are that way. I have only one that zips down to close. Its an old Jordan/Joe Rocket.
I salt the roads in York Region. Everything from Steeles Ave. to Lake Simcoe got a generous coating of salt last night. The roads were dry this morning for Tom, but salty as hell.
And unlike Lego, those little metal bits can possibly be repurposed. Here's an underwater camera housing my Dad built in the 1950s, using a pressure cooker. The gear and chain to turn the focus ring are genuine Meccano.
