I have red ones installed on my wife's bike and they are fine. Put them on last year. I think they are a good deal. I also put gold ones on a buddy's EX500 and they are also fine. They are a good deal in my opinion.

+1 I use Rotella T6 and Purolator on my FZ6 with no problems, makes the oil changes way cheaper.

I am in the same boat, yesterday I read the back label and it still says dry wax on the back so we should be good. I will switch to the chain saver stuff once my 6 cans run out. Oh and I lube my chain about every 2 fill ups ~ 600 -700 km and the chain is all good.
