Very sad for the dog but really blaming the TTC for it's death?

Well your memory blows. I specifically remember doing Air France 2006ish, and a crate carrying a yellow lab fell of the cart and broke open. Dog bolted and we tried to contain him. This was at gate B34ish and he ran straight for the midfield. They spent an hour trying to corner him and get him...

Very sad for the dog but really blaming the TTC for it's death?

When i was working at the airport, if a dog got out of the cage airside, the ASO (airside safety officers) had a shoot on sight rule. Many didnt enforce it obviously and we all tried our hardest to contakn the animal so it didnt run out on the runways, but a few did and were put down. Thats...

Toronto anti-Uber protest - These TO taxi drivers are #@$%!!!!

^^ Cool. A segment greatly impacted in the last decade is print. Newspaper and Magazines...they are hurting badly and those who havent switched partially or fully to online content are or going to be extinct soon.

Toronto anti-Uber protest - These TO taxi drivers are #@$%!!!!

Depreciation is going to happen whether i drive that vehicle for personal km or driving it to clients and back. I dont commute to an office so i dont have to worry about additional km's being put on for that purpose. Funny how a lot of commuters who drive an hour+ to work and back never speak...

Toronto anti-Uber protest - These TO taxi drivers are #@$%!!!!

Uberblack is the higher level of vehicle offered. If you order Uber black you know only higher end luxury vehicles will show up. It doesnt take .40c a km to run a vehicle unless you drive a totally unreliable POS that guzzles gas. i get paid by my company for mileage and have calculated my...

Toronto anti-Uber protest - These TO taxi drivers are #@$%!!!!

Simple solution to airport taxis and uber. Take the train from T1 or T3 to Viscount stop where long term parking is. Ask Uber to meet you there. Voila. Legal for him and cheap for you.

How low will the Canadian $ go?

Unless something drastic happens to US economy, or OPEC war against North American oil production stops, dont expect the CAD to get any better. 65c? I dont know about that. Only thing that can kick us that low is massive housing correction and subsequent systematic crash of credit debt. Its a...

    battery charging dilema- suggestions apppreciated

Except that its not how 12V DC batteries work. Yes the alternator can output 100amps, but a battery only slightly depleted will not draw anywhere near 100amps...As the battery reaches full charge it will draw less and less amperage. Thats why you can bulk charge a battery to 80% very quickly...

another ontario power generation scandal round 15

It wouldn't have made a lick of difference. We already knew of tons of other shenanigans and we still voted majority liberals both provincially and federally.

    Solution to traffic

Sure, the economy of Ontario is in Shambles, lets just make it even more difficult to do business. Glad to see them volunteering other people to 2nd and 3rd shifts so they can get to their work quicker. Selfish no? How about you take a pay cut and get a job locally. Oh, not willing to sacrifice...

    VW deisel?? wtf...

Irony once again. Vw diesels get approximatately 30 to 50% better mpgs thab equivalent gas models. So even with "extra" diesel pollution they still pollute less according to your way of thinking. Alas, even worse for your way of thinking. Per driven km, due to lack of o2 sensors and higher...

    VW deisel?? wtf...

irony. Complains of "extra" pollution on a motorcycle forum, where 95% of riders ride for pleasure, needlessly adding to pollution, not to mention the proven fact that most motorcycles pollute more per given km than an average car. So i take it you sold your motorcycle, bought a Prius and only...

Car AND truck of the year

Or idles it all day like what a lot of pickup driving guys do, pretending they are big rig drivers. I had a co-worker who no matter what the temp was outside, would turn his Silverado on 30 min before leaving work. Couldnt beat into his dense head that it was bad for the truck, not better.

Drivers who hog middle lane are the real problem

God you guys are dense. Trucks have no option but to do 105. You dont know trucks if you think theres a single one who wants to do 100. They all put the pedal to the floor and keep it there. A semi who cannot maintain his speed is forced to slow down via physics, he does not choose to be the...

Drivers who hog middle lane are the real problem

When trucks have to go in the fast lane to pass you, it becomes dangerous. You think you doing 105 will get cops salivating as everyone else blasts by you? Flow with the traffic. If trucks are passing you, speed up by 5km/h....Be considerate instead of "Ho hum, i'm not gonna break the law!" I...
