What did you do in your garage today..?

It's actually pretty dirty. Only has 1000km on it though so give me time ;)

What did you do in your garage today..?

Lightcycle and google advise there’s a common occurrence with the water pump hose clamp not tightened enough from factory and causing leaks. Unfortunately to get to it you really need to pull the tank. Well at least now I know how to do that (coles notes: lotsa screws). That clamp got tightened...

What did you do in your garage today..?

Well rain washed it away and after letting the bike sit overnight there’s a small puddle of coolant forming in the pan so that answers that question. I’ll pull some panels and see if it’s just a clamp that requires tightening or if it’s more serious and needs a warranty repair.

Anyone know any Mason's for repoint work?

My house is 3yrs old and I repointed some bricks last year. It isn't difficult to do yourself.

What did you do in your garage today..?

Started raining before I could try the clean test. I put some paper towel on it but couldn’t get enough on it to get a smell. Would rain clean it from the driveway if it’s coolant?

What did you do in your garage today..?

New bike, was thinking maybe they put too much oil/coolant in at pdi. Thanks I’ll take a look at those. Thing is, they all mention seeing a leak/puddle or coolant in bottle dropping and I don’t have that. Mine’s at full mark which makes me wonder if it just puked out a bunch from the overflow...

What did you do in your garage today..?

Spent an hour trying to track down what my bike dropped from the skidplate. Oil and coolant both on full marks and I haven’t added any since I picked it up from dealer. Did 300km two days ago in the dry so it isn’t water from washing. Nothing on garage floor. Pushed it out into driveway, idled...

The "Are you thinking of a new bike for 2024?" discussion thread.

I found the heat was radiating from the exhaust header. Swap that and it's fine. I'm a few inches taller than you and don't find them cramped and could ride one all day. Still not touring comfy in my getting-old mind but not terrible. I'd have one in the garage if I had more time to use it.

Looks fun. I haven't seen her in anything besides Derry Girls. Shogun finale was terrible imo.

    Who's still riding? Fall & Winter 2022 (& 2023!) edition!

350km today, mostly away from tarmac. Upper Cordova Falls Taking trails from Cordova to Marmora located a dirtbike track and did a few laps. A quick stop at the old Marmora mine.

    Private sale and test rides

I’ve had people show up in a rented van and then ask me to strap the bike down inside it for them as they don’t know how. I’ll take a buyer with a dirty trailer any day.

Enough of COVID...what are you doing to the house?

Tis the season for small furry creatures digging up my lawn for grubs. Lost about a half acre of grass. I put down Scott’s grub killer but I’m not sure if it did much. I re-homed a skunk Friday but another furry was back at the lawn last night. Maybe try nematodes next year.

Post up your liquor/spirit talk ?

Bought some Dunrobin Canadian whiskey on a flyer the other day as I like to have new random whiskeys for company to try. It’s kinda blech. It’s only slightly higher priced than typical Forty Creek stuff but not nearly as drinkable.

Enough of COVID...what are you doing to the house?

Quality of either can vary greatly. I used triple mix for the same thing in my front yard last year. That amount is easily spread out by hand. I'm going to clear level a 125x50ish section to expand the yard and will need about 30ish yards to level it. I'll be using topsoil and depending on the...

That bike would need a heck of a cleaning after that trip home. Suck it up and spend the couple bucks to rent an enclosed.

The Reasonably Priced Used Motorcycles for Sale Thread

Back around 2012ish I bought the same bike in mint shape with low km’s for similar cash. Inflation sure, but I think $2500 might still be a bit high given condition.

Shogun is excellent. First and second episode just gets things into perspective and it gets good after that. On ep6 now and so good.
