At Paris a few years ago the KLusteR decided we should take in the Mother of all vintage swap meets. We got back yesterday. Four KLRs and one turncoat T7.
Crossed in Buffalo and rode down to Butler OH last Wednesday. Thursday was a bit lazy and we rode down to...
KLR needs and ignition switch and new gas cap. These guys are almost too good to be true. A few reviews later and I think I'm right.
Anyone had good experiences?
I'm looking into a new trailer. 5x7 utility.
I've noticed some have the wheel near the the mid point of the box and some noticably much closer to the rear. (see pic)
Should I be concerned too much tongue weight with something like this one shown?
I'm pulling with a Matrix that has a 200lb tongue...
I built a pond/watergarden (3000 liters) for the Squeeze over 20 years ago. Added plants and feeder fish from the pet store and never looked back. They have flourished. Every once in a while a heron would hoover up some - back to the pet store. I estimate approx 120-140 inches of fish combined...
Was in the driveway with a buddy enjoying a beer when we got to looking at my trailer. Turns out the rear spring shackle/mount was completely broken. The rear end of the leaf spring was floating. Only the weight of trailer was keeping it in place.
So far this year the trailer has made two...
My hard plumbed NG que just gave it up. I just want a simple 2 burner unit but for some reason the selection with NG seems higher end and I'm struggling to find simpler 2 burner units.
I think the difference is only jet size. Can I drill out propane to run NG or is it the other way round?
Trailered the dirtbike across Toronto yesterday out to the Ganny and then we rode double track most of the way to Test Hill. We were the only ones there but I assume it's right shite show on a weekend.
Is this area the spot they referred to as the "tank trails" when I went to high school in...
Anyone planning to take in the racing? (Or actually racing??)
It's like $20 to camp for the weekend. I'm considering loading up the camper.

After installing the first valve on the head of my '72 (ish) CB750 I realized that both inner and outer springs have two tighter coils on one end.
My feeble brain can't see that it should make any difference but I'm pretty sure it does. Which end should go up with the keepers.
My nieghbour upgraded the wood stove in his garage and he's looking to get rid of the old one. It's a white coloured wood burning kitchen stove.
Not only did it keep his garage warm for many a matinee but on top of that it cooked many a tasty treat. Pigtails anyone??
He wants it gone. Pretty...
Some background:
I've been riding well over 40 years. Some of my best trips were 2up with the Squeeze on a 1200 GoldWing. (even scraped pegs at the Gap)
When my hips got bad the Wing had to go. I can still ride solo no problem but 2up rides don't last long before I'm feeling cramped and don't...
At Inglis Cycle in London. Was picking up my new lid and saw tires on sale. 40% off most tire plus $10 or $20 off on certain Dunlops if you get them installed.
I bought a new tire for the drag Wing's '78 CB750F front wheel. An IRC tire for $88.
After the first rain test a few weeks ago (about a half hour ride in moderate rain) my butt was damp.
Pants are supposed to be "waterproof". When I spoke to the Klim CSR she said they're goretex and supposed to be waterproof so I should not have experienced the dampness. She then explained the...
Was shopping for a lid today and found the AGV K6 ($632) . It's a carbon fibre helmet so it's quite light and best of all I can get it in plain white. One of the few makers whose willing to paint CF it appears.
Anybody got one? Any good reason not to pull the trigger?
A guy mailed me a rear brake caliper for my Wing that he took off a parts bike he had.
After using grease to push the pistons out I found that someone had done work on this caliper before me.
The square profile piston seals had been replaced with O rings!

Does he not know he's left the building?
I'm going to be using sections of 2" muffler pipe for the ends of my exhaust. Standard muffler clamps with the "U" bolt and saddle will look big and ugly in this application.
Gear clamps might work if I slit the end. That seems a hacker method and the slits could leak.
Anyone know of an...
