I have just made an offer on a bike. The bike is five years old has 45k km on it and isn't currently insured so I am unable to test ride it. It appeared to be in good condition with new tires. But I am growing more concerned about the fact I haven't been able to ride it or that I haven't had it...
I am looking for my first bike. Not looking for anything fancy and many of the bikes I see in my price range are 80's and 90's models.
I read that some insurance companies will not insure bikes over 20 years old. Should I avoid looking at older bikes?
