For multifocal lenses, measurements are absolutely critical so lens placement is correct. When I had mine done all those years ago, there was only one provider who had imported the equipment from Europe to perform it.

I don't know about just the measurements but about 10 years ago I paid $10K for multi-focal lens replacements. Probably cheaper now that it's becoming more common and improved lens materials but also depends on who's doing it.
