Enough of COVID...what are you doing to the house?

Bathfitters came by to give me an estimate. Ensuite shower is 32x60. Twenty five yr old tile is getting "tired". Not wanting, or getting anything else done.....just floor, walls and a door. $10,400. I assumed the salesman was on crack, and passed on the "offer".

    Pickup Trucks

They're just as good as new, sometimes better, if recalls etc were taken care of already. Personally, I wouldn't buy any Ford, new, capitalized, used, bent or straight, on any plan I have. I prefer Honda.

    Pickup Trucks

Known as a "cap car", or "capitalized unit" inside the plant. Usually used by Managers, and higher ranking suit clad folks, their cars get detailed every day.. These type of units get posted on the bulletin boards, so employees can have 1st pick. After a "bit of time" not selling, dealers step...

    Where to get tires installed?

You know you want one. (So do I). When they were $550, I thought it was too much.

    Where to get tires installed?

I sold a bike on Saturday to a fellow who's taking it there for a safety.

    Did I ruin this tire?

No joke. A wheel barrow tire took me 10X longer than a m/c tire, and it was 20X the struggle.

    Did I ruin this tire?

Me too, unless I got a buddy for the "3rd" hand. The back seat of the cage, windows up, in the blistering sun. (Bonus: off gassing lasts a day or two)

    Did I ruin this tire?

I use soapy water too (or windex), and I've got a pail full of rim protectors I don't use. Make sure the tire your mounting is situated in the drop area, or drop zone - opposite side that your spooning. It's very important to minimize stretching the tire, and it'll go on much easier, without...

    Did I ruin this tire?

There's a certain someone i know (on this forum sometimes) who doesn't use lube while swapping tires. That is exactly what happens every time he mounts a new tire. I still can't recommend it, but there is still about 50% of your bead that'll stick. Air it up, and check for leakage.

Site performance is quite poor today

I'd forgotten how slow dial up was, but for 3 days, gtam has been running slower than that. Anyone else waiting minutes for a page to load? (every other site that I use is fine)

    Horrible roads everywhere

The paved pathways on the Hamilton municipal golf courses are in just as bad, or worse condition. I played yesterday, and I think I got whiplash a half dozen times riding in the cart. Truly pathetic.

Poor Service and Questionable Inspection Standards at GP Bikes

CT - only if the specific location has a motorcycle tech. I had my bike safety done at an auto shop. Owner gave me the poop on setting it up for motorcycles. He had to commit 8 hours to "learn how to do it" and cough up $4500. This is why many bike shops don't bother any more.
