Why are cruisers so darn cheap?

Now that's a blast from the past:) When I first started riding I wanted to be a cruiser guy. Half helmet, cig in the mouth, but forgot to add the tassels. Rode a Virago 1100 around for a couple years and then tried out a VFR750 which was so much better and never looked back.

August Long Weekend - Ride somewhere north

Anyone up for a ride up north this weekend? Not sure yet which day I'm going, but I am taking Friday off work, so I could go Fri, Sat or Sun. Open to whatever, but I am kinda feeling like some Wilno Tavern pierogies...

    2026 Rides

Long rides in a straight line kill me. Curvy roads on the other hand... Enjoy the Gaspe trip - I loved that area and preferred it to Cabot Trail.

    Thunder Bay In September Ride

I did it in September 2011 and the weather was all over the place. We did mostly camping. Took the Trans Canada there and then we scooted along Ranger Lake Rd to the 129 up to Chapleau and then across the 11 from there. Was a great trip and on your bike, you will have a blast. Lots of places to...

Hotel / motel in / AirB&B near Grand Bend for Racer5 track days

Do you have a powerbank of any kind? I have a few I use to keep all my devices charged when I'm travelling. And even easier if you are sleeping in your car - as long as it has and outlet of some kind n it.

Asphalt is not your friend today

I have a blue Yamaha plate which was using before this bolt on kickstand plate. Even though I'm not fat or old, I don't bend over for nothin, so I had a coiled, hi-viz tether cord with a loop on one end that goes around the handlebar or anything on the left bar. So as I get on the bike, I just...

Misc Moto Stuff - for free or trade for chain lube / brake cleaner

A coffee table / picture book about choppers - about 200 pages with tons of full colour photos. A Kryptonite 6' cable lock for locking up your jacket or helmet to the bike. A bike lock (GRIP LOCK) - never used - mounts to the brake lever side of your handlebars. Located in Mississauga near...

What's considered vintage? 25 years old or even older? A good lasagna is one of my favourite meals to enjoy.

Anyone using Google Maps to plan a ride

I liked Tyre which eventually switched over to the free version of MyRouteApp for a couple years and then the paid version, which is amazing for my needs. Google Maps is fine for simple routes, but not very good for complicated routes with many changes of direction or stops.

    Cross Canada Ride Seeking Input

I've only done this ride once, but for my experience, the wind was super strong in that area around Regina. I stayed in Moose Jaw and even noticed a considerable fuel range drop between Moose Jaw and Swift Current. I went in August and it was very cold in the morning - heated gear cranked on...

Ride Report - 2026 Scenic Butt

No trouble at all for the most part. I think it's 46hp and so it only has trouble keeping up on the corner exits of fast sweepers, especially those going uphill, but he's a great rider and those bikes are pretty quick. In the tighter twisty sections, his bike really shines.
