We Know you Ride, But do you Shoot?

"Assault-style" amnesty extended until 90 days after Supreme Court decision. No surprise there. Keep kicking the can while wasting hundreds of millions with no benefit to citizens. https://toronto.citynews.ca/2026/06/09/feds-extend-gun-amnesty-while-supreme-court-case-plays-out/

Who knows. Incredible concentration risk on anything related to him as much of the price is tied to him personally. Musk dying would have the stocks quickly revert to intrinsic value and that would be brutal for those invested. I don't own anything he controls (outside of index funds) nor do I...

Enough of COVID...what are you doing to the house?

Using the graveyard amps means I had none of the above. No bluetooth, no remote, no volume, no physical power switch, no plugs to connect speaker wires to connectors, only two channels etc. An aliexpress bluetooth adaptor and some connectors and we are in business. I thought about buying a small...

Enough of COVID...what are you doing to the house?

Bose EOL'd the crappy amp I had running speakers beside the pool. Grabbed a crestron out of the pile and upgraded. Must resist the urge to move a sub and amp outside.

Enough of COVID...what are you doing to the house?

Most municipalities require fences and permits for anything capable of holding more than 2' of water. Barrie residents are freaking out as permits for their $300 inflatable pool are over $500.

    Meditative riding, preferences and hondas

I agree. Sadly, by riding we all take on an incredible risk. In exchange for that risk, I want some reward. A soulless Honda does nothing for me. I havent ridden an AT but that may be a decent middle ground between effortless ownership and an acceptable riding experience.

Enough of COVID...what are you doing to the house?

The economics of buying for 800k+ and renting don't work. The tenants are just placeholders to slow the bleeding until the eventual redevelopment happens. So you've got landlords that do the minimum possible as it's a teardown anyway and then a multiplex. Sucks for the existing residents but...

    Is this riding season abnormal?

Yes but also no. That is probably more related to a low number last year. Ice storm last year and a late start to the season so if the day they drew the stats, there was only 1 death last year, another 4-5 wouldn't be shocking. For stats to be significant, sadly you need a lot of incidents.

Enough of COVID...what are you doing to the house?

Two underlays stacked that way won't cause an issue. You run into issues if you start putting mass between the layers. In that case cost goes up and performance goes down.

    Food choice

If I need a lot of pizza, costco pizzas are $13 per XL cooked or you can get them frozen. That closes the price gap between pizza and hotdogs to almost nothing. Hotdogs are easier to have ready when needed as you steam a ton and grill quickly when needed. Pizza ends up in batches and cooling...

    How`s your house pricing doing?..

1B is a tough sell. Most people want at least 2. That being said, for the right person it could be a great downsizing house that frees up lots of cash while keeping you out of condo hell.

    Try @adri. He seems handy.

    Did I ruin this tire?

Try to find another GTAMer in a similar situation that will sell you a small container. I needed grease to rebuild the gearbox in a kitchenaid mixer. Smallest container was a pint. I have enough gearbox lube for 10 lifetimes.

    How`s your house pricing doing?..

Assuming you had a capital gain to offset. As neither was rented, I don't think you can write off any of those against normal income.
