Electric bike (not an ebike) vs TPS chase. TPS lost bad. https://www.facebook.com/reel/1508449497856432

    E bikes rampaging Toronto streets

Emmo Ebike sales and repair shop caught itself on fire in Toronto today. Thankfully fire was extinguished before it got out of hand. While Emmo is the posterchild for Wynnebags DUI mobiles (and I will be shocked if they didn't pay her off), I suspect they are safer in general than some of the...

Enough of COVID...what are you doing to the house?

What did you do in your garage today..?

Depending on how they looked, I'd strongly consider booking an appointment at a mechanic out there and pre-ordering the tires. That way you know that Tues afternoon you have an address and time to get swapped quickly and back on the road. Having severely worn tires and being grounded for days...

Interesting. I'm more leaning towards the opposite happening and I sold a bunch of XQQ in RESP late last year to protect it from stupidity.

I can borrow pole saws from the neighbours. When I'm climbing it's higher than they can reach. In the ballpark of 30+ feet up to clear out damaged limbs or chunk a tree down.

    Manual shift transmissions are safer

The last car I had it on, I hated it. You could feel the brakes holding the car back as the clutch came out. Your choice was to pause on the clutch lift to wait for the brakes to release or just proceed like you were on a hill and give it more gas to overcome the brakes and then let up on the...

It's not quite that close to vaporware. Watch the video I posted above. SpaceX has real businesses, revenue and customers and is worth something. At one point, many people predicted that AAPL would not survive without Steve Jobs. The market cap is up a lot more than 10x from that point.

Has the city lost it's mind...

Isn't that how the PATH has worked for decades? Make sure to incorporate a bunch of twists and turns so you both lose touch with the direction you are walking and can't see very far to know which way the next turn is going to take you.

What was the matter with words? As someone that mostly avoids Toronto, the line numbers are far more annoying than their old descriptive names. Walking out to the Yonge St exit is much more intuitive than donkey exit.

TTC having a huge debate about incorporating indigenous wayfinding in transit. They have all lost the plot and need to be permanently removed from being paid by taxpayers in any capacity.

Does it also have the horrible anti-rollback crap where it leaves the brakes on for a second after you release them? I hate that with a passion and turn it off on cars I own.

Enough of COVID...what are you doing to the house?

If you're doing that, get a great set of plans. The more detail the better. I'm sure some designers cater to homeowners and include all the standard details you must do to meet code. The few thousand you spend on plans (which you need anyway for permit) can save you many heartaches at inspection...

Part of me agrees with you and I normally buy once and cry once but I've been keeping my eye open for years with no real luck. I only climb to cut a few times a year, I guess I could probably rent one but I hate that as the times I want to do it, others do too. Another option is I could fix...

Enough of COVID...what are you doing to the house?

You've already triggered the appraisal, I wouldn't be trying to drive up cost-base now. Pancake lights work well for basements. Flush with drywall and you aren't restricted on location by joists above. Not my favorite light output (CRI/pattern/etc) but for a basement, good enough. For most of...

I've been looking for top handle chainsaw. Lighter and easier to use in trees. I don't do enough climbing to justify the >$800 for a good one from Echo/Stihl/Husky/Milwaukee. Enter Vevor. $120. Reviews are decent. If it gets stuck, don't pull on the handle or you will break it off but otherwise...

Enough of COVID...what are you doing to the house?

While I agree with that math, that lead to a lot of the cottage stupidity. When empty lots exceeded $250K, it made sense to build a $1M house and sell it for >$1.5M. If you build a $250K shack, value would be less than the sum of the parts as the next buyer would likely be tearing it down and...

I've been using a chrome plugin called Keepa for years for that. It works well and is free. It embeds price history in the product listing. I check it quickly before buying. I use camelcamelcamel for things I want eventually. For instance, Victorinox Classic SD. They break, get seized by...

Sounds like the same person. That was the area I saw him. It's not an ebike by any definition. It is basically an electric dirt bike.
