This is what I have. It's new, and light still passes through it. The jamb is bowing.

While in the subject... can good digestif be bought in Canada or even the US? Jagermeister is a nasty sugary syrup. Someone shared some they brought from Switzerland. It was a pleasant experience.

    COVID and the housing market

    Inflation

Wait, at the beginning of the pandemic wasn't the general population told they are destroying the economy because they were saving their money? Now we spend too much. We just can't get it right. I really don't understand why we are entrusted with money. Serfdom is so much better for the economy.

Enough of COVID...what are you doing to the house?

My previous range hood and range hood microwave both included a damper as required. When I took them off for repairs, I did not find grease on the ducts or dampeners. Dunno, maybe it's because I eat lots of avocado toast? I am considering installing a duct booster fan that is pressure...

Enough of COVID...what are you doing to the house?

Asking for a friend. How bad of an idea is it to share a kitchenette range hood exhaust with the bathroom exhaust? Bathroom ducting is 6" sheet metal. He would install a gasketed "trade" quality damper on both the range hood and bathroom to prevent backdrafts.

Where is this printed cash going? Prices are going up, money is "printed", but I don't know of anyone getting more money. Maybe I need to expand my circle to include billionaires. Those got wheelbarrows of cash during the pandemic.

Enough of COVID...what are you doing to the house?

Absolutely, I will seal it after installation. It's just that the package says every three months. That's ridiculous, and I know it will not happen. What sealer do you use on your floors? The tiles are marable. I took a look at some offcuts that I sprayed with water last night and left with...

Enough of COVID...what are you doing to the house?

I haven't done finish caulking with it. Having adjustable steady speed is like like driving an auto. It's easy to overshoot. With the manual caulk gun it's probably easier to get a nice finish if you are good at balancing speed and trigger pressure. Manual caulk gun gives more control. I...

Enough of COVID...what are you doing to the house?

I git a bunch of caulk on clearance and a display power gun for $20. That will take care of any gaps quick. On another note some prices are still wack. Pvc baseboard is 3x compared to US at HD. Transition strips are also 2x-3x.

Enough of COVID...what are you doing to the house?

Various things. For example, a door frame with about a 1/4" - 1/2" gap up top. It would take too much caulk to fill and not be worth using a spray foam can as they are pretty much single use.

Enough of COVID...what are you doing to the house?

I need a glue that expands and foams up to take up space. I remember the old PL used to do that, but as newer versions of it came out, each promised less foaming. What kind of glue that comes in a cartridge expands the most?
