When I had a R3, it came with oe bias-ply Michelins that were glorified hockey pucks. Basically any new tires were better. Can confirm sports touring tires are fine with "spirited" riding (depends on your own definition). I like that sport tourers have decent wet/cold grip and last me 20-25k a set.

Rode yesterday and today. Thought I would've learned from having to wash the muck from bike yesterday to not ride today...but sunshine and warm air beckoned, and I'm washing the bike again today.

Does that mean with enough votes @Evoex can be coerced...I mean convinced to be a motorcyclist again? 😅 I'm tentatively in, depends on actual timing....also not changing my vote.

It's weird that the roads seem grimmier than it was when I went for a ride on Lunar new year...looks like I'll have to wash the bike again after this.
