I didn't see the extended warranty mentioned. Now is the time to negotiate price of one.

How long do you keep your motorcycles?

Just coat everything in protectant and store it indoors and it won't rust. You'll be much happier not clearing snow and scraping ice off cars/bikes plus loading/unloading in the rain also sucks.

    Pickup Trucks

The Lariat is a huge step up in features/tech/luxury over the XLT so I'd compare that one against the GMC (not just on paper, driver both back to back on the same day to compare). The 2.7 in the Ford is a stud and gets exceptional fuel mileage (yes you're correct that the 10-speed issues appear...

    Christmas Whatcha Get Thread

What motorcycle related stuff did you get (or gift to yourself)? I got the Earpeace Moto Pro to upgrade from my regular Earpeace buds. Also added an impact screwdriver to the box which I hopefully will never have to use.

    Comm's in helmets

I have a Sena 20S that’s around the same age. I’ve used it year round swapping it from motorcycle helmets to snowmobile lids and it’s been great. Changed the battery just last year with an Amazon one as the original was starting to have low charge (easy peasy, cost $20, and lasts all day...

What did you do in your garage today..?

I was a bit miffed when the lugnuts on our Odyssey started rusting after the first Winter. Dealership nicely swapped in new ones when it went in for the first oil change. Googling was how I found out about them chipping. So far so good now however I did buy a second black set to use with my snow...

What did you do in your garage today..?

Nice score! Impacts will chip the coating off of lugs making them rust quickly (not enough to affect them, just ugly). Best to do initial loosen and final tighten by hand (ie. just use gun to zip them on and off without the ugga).

How long do you keep your motorcycles?

Two GSXR 1000's (an 06 and 09) and three GSXR 600's (an 05 and two 07's).

Enough of COVID...what are you doing to the house?

Wiring checked and good and all set to LED. If I changed them all to Kasa would I have to change both ends of the 3-way wired room or just one end (or is it a try one end and see what happens)? Edit; 2-packs of the 3-way Kasa Dimmer switches were on on sale so I ordered enough to replace all...

Enough of COVID...what are you doing to the house?

A few more details might help: basement (smart switch dimmer), main room (2-way dimmer, decora), kitchen (3-way decora, dimmer on only one end). All led pot lights. Main and kitchen can both be on and will only flicker if near bottom of dimmer (really a non-issue as they’re rarely that dim...

Enough of COVID...what are you doing to the house?

All led’s. Didn’t matter if they’re at the top of dimming switch they’ll still do it. If one set is in they’re fine until you turn in a second set. Running something in socket doesn’t affect them.

Enough of COVID...what are you doing to the house?

Lighting question: pot lights that flicker when lights are turned on in another room. All are on dimmer switches (kasaa smart switch in one room, decora 3-way dimmer switches on two other rooms. What’s the fix that retains dimming ability?

What did you do in your garage today..?

What year is your F150? Here’s my ‘24 and it couldn’t be easier now. One bolt holds the battery strap and one nut on each terminal. Easy peasy and lots of room. I believe 21+ should be the same. I have a few extra wires for stereo/charger currently. Put the maintainer/reconditioner on a few...

What did you do in your garage today..?

I should clarify, not easy if you're a 17yr old without much experience in this regard and there's no YT vids to show how as it's the early 90's. Ariens Platinum. Only a few hundred dollars more than a Deluxe and it's lovingly overbuilt and worth it. Huge engine, faster impeller, heated grips...

What did you do in your garage today..?

Except the rear main seal. That was the one thing on my '88 F150 that broke that I couldn't fix. Hole rusted through the floor by the highbeam switch as well as much of the body, muffler fell off, but the driveline was amazing (and to be fair took a heck of a beating from me).

Enough of COVID...what are you doing to the house?

100% this^^^^ MP - It's exactly what I was thinking as I was reading the post. Plus it gives a nice backdrop should you wish to place a company name/logo on it. Will also hold some resale should you ever sell it. Another option is to rent it out when not in use.

What did you do in your garage today..?

Cleaned my MX and street helmets. After two years I realized the chin vent on my HJC 71 also has a tilt feature when in the open position. I googled it after discovering it and it's called an air "Turbo Boost". This will definitely make me faster next season! It did make getting the 4 housefly...

What did you do in your garage today..?

Sled sales are in the toilet right now and amazing deals can be had on amazing machines. Having sleds with good Hi/Lo comp adjustable shocks was a game changer for me in having a sled that handled great in all conditions and not having to touch the clickers part way through the day. If we ever...
