    CFNY

Enjoyed the vid, thanks. I've listened to 95% of Alan's Ongoing History podcasts and this vid was pretty informative on a radio station I've listened to for the past 30yrs (I lived too far out in the sticks to hear it in the 80's). The Edge had an hour or so time slot for Marsden a few years...

Added that to my bucket list last year as well.

    Battery Charger recommendation

I have a CTEK and a NOCO 5. Sold my Battery Tender one. NOCO is my favourite. I boiled a power wheels lead acid battery last year because I used the CTEK without putting it on the lower (motorcycle) setting. Not the tenders fault. It will only charge Lead-Acid though. The NOCO you just select...

    Taking care of your kit

Coat leathers in Lemon Pledge. Gives them some protection and more importantly makes cleaning bugs off much easier.

    2026 Rides

I stay off the roads Sat-Sun but I'm in for weekday rides in that are as well.

    2026 Rides

I'd be up for this one but I have to be a "maybe" until a bit closer to the date.

    Anyone here a cyclist?

It definitely looks like FS is less common these days if my local trail is accurate but for my old joints it still might be the way to go.

    Blackbridge Harley

They didn't go out of business so there was no opportunity for that. Mackie sold the HD dealer which was renamed Durham HD. They also sold off Mackie Moving around the same time.

So it's that time again....winter pasttimes?

I rode until December and usually I'm riding by March so Winter is short. Just enough time to do toy/house maintenance and some home projects/upgrades and within no time it's 2-wheel season.

    TV shows currently watching

I enjoyed the ending episode. There was so much time between seasons from start to finish that I couldn't remember enough to catch nuggets but all in all it was enjoyable as a series. Onto S2 of Fallout now.

    Anyone here a cyclist?

I haven't. Never heard of the Rockrider bikes.

    Anyone here a cyclist?

Wife needs a new mtb and she’ll fit either a small/medium frame so I’m either going to gift her my pristine ‘08 Specialized Stumpjumper FSR Comp Elite or find a used hard tail that we can share with decent specs that won’t break the bank (not finding much so far).

Enough of COVID...what are you doing to the house?

No luck with that or with a Magic Eraser.

What is your goal or going with winter tires? Is it for better winter traction or to save your oem wheels? If you're just trying to save your oem wheels I would get a set of aluminum factory replica wheels and put winter tires on them. Most places will be able to get them. Here's one example...

Enough of COVID...what are you doing to the house?

How to get what looks like mold/mildew out of quartz (shower ledge). Tried baking soda paste as well as isopropyl alcohol with no luck. Any luck with this...

Enough of COVID...what are you doing to the house?

Switching them to all Kasa fixed it. Was stumped for a day when putting them in as I was just going to put a Kasa on one end with the regular non-dimming analog switch on the other end but the Kasa would only stay in trouble mode. Day two I put the Kasa on the other end as well and everything...

    Pickup Trucks

Ours must have been clapped out as we had the same motor in our Dodge Aspen and it was an absolute slug. The Straight6 in my '88 F150 would easily blow the doors off it (300ci vs 225 but the truck was also heavier). Actually our 60hp Suzuki Samarai would blow away the Aspen as well and I so wish...

    Pickup Trucks

That’s is a lot of mileage but I’d still ask about ext warranty just to see what’s offered. I average 10,000km/yr and I paid 1/3rd the MSRP price on a 8yr/180km warranty and what a replacement headlight costs is more than I paid for the ext warranty so I was fine with the cost but alas it’s...

In normal driving the 5.0 feels downright slow compared to the 2.7TT in the F150. Dyno graphs show why as the boosted motor makes all that power down low whereas you've got to get deep into the throttle every time to make the 5.0 feel as strong (that goes for the GM 5.3/6.2 and Dodge 5.7 as...
