Enough of COVID...what are you doing to the house?

Could also be a build up of lint. Fun story about control boards: Our new Electrolux sucked in a sock because of a manufacturing issue and was making a bit of a noise but working. When the warranty tech came he walked out and said "Good news is I got the sock. Bad news is I shorted out the...

Enough of COVID...what are you doing to the house?

Buy the bigger house and send the MIL to the end of the driveway with a perogy stand to help pay the bigger mortgage.

What did you do in your garage today..?

Ebay fees are a lot higher than they used to be so it may not be worth it. I use to sell on Ebay all the time then last year sold some Givi racks after not being on Ebay for a dozen years and although I got a good price for the racks the fees associated with it made the sale a bad deal for me...

    Weird Amazon Delivery issue

Other than not getting your package yet it sounds rather win-win. You have a spare damaged one and now you have a fun mystery box. Enjoy the free gifts while you wait for your package.

Enough of COVID...what are you doing to the house?

Yesterday I took time to listen to my home stereo for the first time in a while. Found the sub wasn't working and I found the wireless adaptor unplugged (accident by cleaner likely) so an easy fix. Then I found a 6.5" driver on each of my floor standers is rattling (they haven't been...

Enough of COVID...what are you doing to the house?

My hamsters turning trying to figure out a way to use the blower to make a climbing hill here. Tried last week but it just blew it to far away. So far I'm thinking of propping up a piece of plywood to stop the snow to start a hill but I don't think anyone's going to volunteer to hold the wood.

    Restaurants

I've done breakfast there plenty and agree it's pretty good for the price (as long as you get the breakfast special). New owners are very nice. Let me know how dinner is there if you ever try it.

    TV shows currently watching

Plenty of Fords hunting for the podium in trucks. Too bad about Saunders and Canet on the KTM's as they had a good chance to go 1-2 this year.

One of my fav lunch spots (mostly soup/sandwich at lunch) has also gone downhill sadly. Enough that I likely won't go back. Prices up, flavour down. People still rave about it but it's not the same place (or I've hit it a couple times on their bad days). Thing is, like others here, we make...

What did you do in your garage today..?

I've easily blown out the driveway a dozen times already this season. Just over a foot of snow last night and plenty of drifts to bang through. 414cc motor and increased impeller speed and my Ariens just chews through it without a sweat. The things a beast and it starts first pull every time.

    Anyone into gardening here?

Rabbits are eating my landscape plants this year as unlike last year the snow isn't high enough to cover them. Would a couple wraps of netting do the trick https://www.homedepot.ca/product/everbilt-100-ft-l-x-7-ft-h-plastic-netting-in-black-with-3-4-inch-x-3-4-inch-mesh/1000420459 I have also...

Recent movies you saw - recommend or no

Tron: Ares - enjoyed it. Soundtrack was excellent as expected. Story was decent (except for some dumb stuff like the giant machine at the end being way bigger than the actual room it was supposedly made in). Also tried to watch The Tank as I love WWII films but I just couldn't get into it.

What did you do in your garage today..?

I took advantage of a mild day last week to hose out the winter muck the cars have pulled into the garage so far and also give both cars a hand wash. Order from Parstavatar arrived so also changed the air and cabin filters on them and after vacuuming them installed winter mats in the Odyssey...

Enough of COVID...what are you doing to the house?

Installed a 3-way motion sensor switch to laundry/mud room and also had to go into attic to join some potlights to an existing group. Forgot how horrible it is trying to breath up there with all the blown in insulation (I forget my mask every time).

Is kijiji no longer a thing?

Really depends on what you're selling. If I'm looking for a nice used bicycle or typical small item I don't bother looking on kijiji. For cars I'll include kijiji/autotrader in my search. Autotrader tends to be an older/better crowd to buy from. When I sold my sportscar last year most of the...
