    Coffee

I do enjoy good coffee but for now it's a couple cups of Maxwell House or Folgers from a pot. Maybe when I have more time in the mornings we'll invest in something Gucci like many have here. My SIL has a nice machine where they grind beans for each cup and then transfer it into a little cup...

    Favourite Christmas movie

National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation is probably my favourite. We also watch the following every Christmas: Elf, Home Alone, Deck the Halls, The Santa Clause (all three), Grinch (original and remake), The Polar Express, Die Hard, The Holiday, Love Actually, Klaus. I really enjoy Klaus.

What did you do in your garage today..?

I've learned that if you coat it with enough slick stuff on delivery it'll break less when you crash it (repeatedly in my case). Marriage tip: wipe off household vacuum wheels after using it on the garage floor or they'll leave little dirty tire marks on your white carpets.

What did you do in your garage today..?

This thing is just a big dirtbike so I usually just give it a basic wash but each Fall I give it a thorough clean/inspection. It does clean up pretty nice. Bit annoying that you have to take off the lower plastic and crash bars to take the skidplate off though (oil change).

    Black Friday Deals

Not bike related but for winter training/fitness these are half price at CT. The stands often go on sale but I’ve never seen the bag go this cheap.

    Smart watches

I have had the Garmin Forerunner for about a year now and I just use it to monitor stats, track my runs, and read txt/email. Works great and last about 2 weeks on a charge.

    TV shows currently watching

There's a bit of a refresher/recap to start this new season which certainly helps as I forgot as well. We're 2 episodes in so far and it's good. I find Millie Bobbie Brown annoying now though.

End of the day it's still a canned tune and getting the bike on a physical dyno with a good tuner will accomplish more. I had a BT Stage 3 tune in my S1000XR and it was a solid improvement but for the price I'd get a proper local tune if I had to do it over.

    Kisselgoff Motorcycle Museum, Thunder Bay

I have yet to do Barber but I fully agree that the Air Force Museum in Dayton is utterly amazing (even if you're not overly interested in planes). I went in 2018 and saw planes that I forgot existed and one I thought was just a Transformers creation.

    TV shows currently watching

IIRC it was Dukes of Hazzard Friday and Miami Vice on Saturday or maybe MV came on right after Dukes, I can't recall but I watched both every weekend religiously.

Share your fondest memory of motorcycling

On the CR500 it took me a few months and many many kicks (and bruises) to realize that unless you kicked it just past TDC it wasn't going to start.

Street - (Tie) #1 - My first multi-day ride and it was a 9-day ride from Ontario to Deals Gap and back on a GSXR1000. Rode every day spending a few days down there as well as taking the long ways both to and from. Learned so much and had such a great time making memories with friends. #2 - A 10...

    2025 Day Trips!

Roads were pretty clean however the bridges were often wet so a bit of due care was required. Seasonal roads were muddier than expected but I rode most of the Ganny doubletrack and had a great day overall. Few dirtbikes in the Ganny and a lone HD decker on the roads were the extent of riders on...

Recent movies you saw - recommend or no

Great movie. I gave Mad Max: Furiosa a watch. There's too much "dumb" in it, from things vehicles climb (and looking really fake doing it) to stupid vehicles like the 3-motorcycle chariot, and the mini 2T motor in a fake arm with no driveline, etc. Too much visual artsy stuff in the first half...

[Amazon.ca] 23$ Alpine MotoSafe Race - Motorcycle Ear Plugs for Wind Noise Reduction - 20%off

The Earpeace ones are also 20% off. I see they make a Pro version now so I may try those out as I've had my regular Earpeace set for quite a few years now (excellent btw).
