Where do you guys go for new tires?

I've had the same battle with 8" trailer tires. A couple of days ago I put 2 new front tires on my lawn tractor. I used this method. It was pretty easy. I used C clamps to break the beads.

    Ducati rear wheel socket

I've found a few very large impact sockets at Princess Auto, in the Surplus Section. They're labeled for suspension components on cars. There's an odd assortment, always changing. Sometimes they have the one you want. They look pretty decent and they're cheap. Likely not Snap On quality, but...

What did you do in your garage today..?

I have found that a "smart" type charger will not revive a flat dead battery. When faced with that in the past, I've had some success by using an old fashioned "dumb" charger, with none of that fancy analytic circuitry. I call it kick starting the battery. Hook it up and run it at a higher...

The Reasonably Priced Used Motorcycles for Sale Thread

My Buddy went in for a heart operation and didn't make it out alive. His widow has been hanging on to this bike to pass it on to his son in another province. After a year the son has realized that with a busy career and a young family, he hasn't got the time to come get the bike, let alone ride...

Do you do a pre-flight check before every ride?

In order for those to work, they would have to depress the valve core and crack open the internal sealing gasket. I would have more confidence in the valve core seat, than the seat of the likely Chinese made cap.

We Know you Ride, But do you Shoot?

Like cars and bikes, every gun has a story. That's a good one. My Dad bought a new Marlin model 39A, ser. # D23764, on Valentine's Day 1948. It was an excellent rifle and highly accurate. I wanted that gun ever since I was a little kid. In February 1998 when he was getting old he finally...
