Finally bought a new guitar amplifier

Add in that there is a ton of stock in the wild and many of the older people are starting to liquidate much of their collections. How many guitars/amps end up beyond economical repair in a year? I suspect the number of people wanting musical instruments is on the decline. Existing stock in the...

    MacDoc's rides 2015 CB300 to 2018 MT03 to 2017 GS310 to 2014 CB500F.

I still remember some questionable roads west of Mackay. One paved lane in the middle and a wide gravel shoulder on each side. Hundreds of km between settlements. High speed limit. Come around a blind corner and realize you are head on with someone hauling ass in the opposite direction. Both of...

Law Enforcement - The Good, The Bad, The Ugly.....

There are very very rarely consequences when police get caught modifying the truth. If it worked for you the last thousand times, why change now? Imo, crap like that should be harshly punished. On that note, where's Demkiws report on the cops that got called out for lying by a judge? How many...

Law Enforcement - The Good, The Bad, The Ugly.....

I understand your point but not writing anything down is the opposite of your point. That is preservation of the thick blue line to allow flexibility in the future to ensure the police were justified.

What did you do in your garage today..?

Around me pull blowers have taken over the contract driveway clearing market. Fast, easy to get close to the houses and imo much safer than open screw blowers.

What did you do in your garage today..?

Mine died about 500' away from home. Pulling the turning handles frees the tracks so you can pull it. It is a lot more work than a wheeled machine to pull. The hardest part was pulling it up onto a trailer. That was hard work. I went with tracks so I could do things like make the toboggan hill...

Law Enforcement - The Good, The Bad, The Ugly.....

Drunk driver called in. Cops investigate and talk to driver. Don't bother with any sobriety tests and let him go. He crashes and multiple people die. BAC was .225. SIU investigates for almost two years and decides no criminal charges are warranted for the cops. Now internal discipline procedures...

What did you do in your garage today..?

Cheap bastards. The expensive parts will wear away quickly without shoes. If I had to buy some anyway, I would get plastic ones

Delivery pretty much ensures no more big storms this year.

Enough of COVID...what are you doing to the house?

Properly vented high-efficiency gas furnace should not effect humidity as the combustion is closed loop using outdoor air. Many lazy installers don't bother with outdoor air intake and just put a grille over the intake. Any appliance that pushes conditioned air out lowers humidity in winter...

Enough of COVID...what are you doing to the house?

We have one small flower and one pot of basil right now. My wife is amazing at killing plants. I can look outside and see nature. I don't need the hassle of watering 100 pots.

    Where to get a puppy?

Use high quantity low value treats (like kibble) to get her in a pattern you like. You're basically feeding her dinner on a walk instead of her vacuuming a bowl.

Enough of COVID...what are you doing to the house?

They didn't glue the joints. Very few do. We have a humidifier. I don't use it often. If humidity goes over 50%, my windows start crying. If it's cold enough outside, it can happen down close to 30%. With no humidifier, my house runs in the low 30's.

    Where to get a puppy?

If the dog is running away and is somewhere safe, completely ignore it. It will realize the game isn't fun and come back to you. If it is somewhere where it can get hurt, life is more complicated. Fred is good. We took him on his first off-leash walk through some fields that included a...

    Where to get a puppy?

Fred was being too bitey yesterday and got pinned for the first time. He did not like it at all. It took him a few minutes to give up. After he gave up, he was much friendlier and more obedient.

Ceiling needs to be at least 7' or it will feel awful. You could use low profile transfer ducts under the beam to get back a bunch of height. You can probably use the brake you already have and add tin-knocker to your list of skills.

    Cuba...

While he may not want Cuba as a state, as a fixture of the Trump empire, maybe he does. A resort in Gaza and another in Cuba should be sufficient to wash unlimited money (and potentially be recipients of unlimited foreign aid).

    Cuba...

Transat and another airline aren't changing flights. If A/C wanted to keep flying there are ways (stop for a splash at another island for instance). It costs some money but shouldn't be tragically expensive.. After a friend's husband died in Cuba (with terrible Healthcare being a large factor...
