The guy I know that owns the most planes has a printing business. He's also a really nice guy (and he's not douggie).

Doug's old cottage (that he still owns) Dougs new cottage (built while he was premier) Doug Ford sunshine list @ $210K/yr. https://www.ontariosunshinelist.com/people/doug-ford/legislative-assembly There is no way that 210/yr could pay for that monster. Maybe CRA should do net worth audits...

Exhibition grounds have a ton of surface parking. Ontario place used to have a ton of surface parking. There are opportunities for better land utilization but I am assuming that douggie will take lessons from Carney and try to find the most expensive and least value for money option for the...

Once you are into emergency gas, be really light on the throttle amd you would be surprised how far you can stretch it.

Law Enforcement - The Good, The Bad, The Ugly.....

The fact that a criminal conviction is still not sufficient to have employment consequences is the problem. Employment consequences are balance of probability, he was convicted beyond a reasonable doubt. Those lines are so far apart that even if he wins on appeal you will be miles over the line...

Any GTAM'ers own an electric vehicle?

Agreed. Warranty is helpful but more and more, manufacturers seem to play the shortage card to kick the can down the road until you give up. While probably not applicable to the 7 yo leaf, other manufacturers have kept the production line humming while repairs waited months for parts. I'd have...

Law Enforcement - The Good, The Bad, The Ugly.....

This headline is ripe for an Onion article along the lines of "Police face barriers in investigating extortion crimes as 80% are perpetrated by liberals or police". https://toronto.citynews.ca/2026/03/06/extortion-rates-climbing-in-canada-as-police-face-barriers-when-solving-these-crimes/

Law Enforcement - The Good, The Bad, The Ugly.....

Sort of. Public servants should have similar moral hazard clauses to professional athlete. If you express beliefs that are contrary to law and good judgement, that should be sufficient for employment consequences. Maybe the first time is a slap and training. Give your employer the finger and do...

Any GTAM'ers own an electric vehicle?

Also you (should) start every morning full. My wife has many days where she barely has enough gas to get anywhere without stopping to fill up (at the highest price of the day). While her next car is likely my moms current car (old people cars with low km are great value), if that doesn't work...

    Stocks

Cpp as a whole really approaches criminal. Returns under inflation, no return of invested capital, death benefit hasn't changed value in decades, death benefit is taxable, spouse often gets nothing, ypu are required to make contributions even if you have already maxed benefit, etc etc. Just...

    Anybody need some cellular data?

I haven't checked my data usage in a while but I expect I rarely go over 2 gigs per phone. The high limits are mostly a game where they can argue at crtc that canada is cheap per gig and they keep lowering rates. I'd much rather have 20 gigs for $19 than 120 for $38. They know the vast majority...

Any GTAM'ers own an electric vehicle?

When I was visiting my buddy with the lighting we ran into an interesting situation. Lightning was set for one pedal driving. I was spotting while we tried to get the truck as close as possible to a tree (truck was long, parking spots were not and driving lane was narrow). Between one pedal...

Not Toronto specific but I'm sure the same will apply there too. There is a simple solution (all bins on right side of street) but I'm sure there will be a pile of Karens that lose their crap about other peoples garbage bins on land the Karens dont even own...

    Jokes

Stolen from the internet. Kind of a joke, mostly a tragedy. Teaching my daughter about payroll withholding She did chores all week so I owe her $10 I hand her $7 > this isn't $10 "right, I withheld the rest" > what does that mean "I kept $3 of your money" > but it's my money "It was your money"...

Bradford wants to spend billions on platform-edge doors and police in every station. He says the only question is what urgency to spend the money. So you can elect an asian woman that spends without limits, a white guy that spends without limits or maybe a white guy that grifts for a living...

    Anybody need some cellular data?

Rogers win back keeps calling me (I think, still trying to confirm if real or scam 833-434-5070). We went to freedom more than a year ago and service is not nearly as good. Even when connecting to rogers tower near my house, service is much worse (intentionally degraded?). Driving through...

Any GTAM'ers own an electric vehicle?

FWIW, a friend bought an IONIQ9 and loves it. It would be a functional equivalent to the odyssey for everything except long road trips (range over 500 km). Price is insane though (tickling six figures). Try to get a raise and buy a 5N. Best of all worlds (except initial price).
