    Jokes

Random Thoughts to Ponder: As I’ve grown older, I’ve learned that pleasing everyone is impossible, but pissing everyone off is a piece of cake. My tolerance for idiots is extremely low these days. I used to have some immunity built up, but obviously, there's a new strain out there. As I watch...

SAIL GP Chicago - this June - Summer trip ???

Some years ago we did a excursion off a cruise ship in Saint Martin where we raced a 12 meter boat. We were on the Canada II racing against the US Stars & Stripes boat. It was an actual race with a set course and after much instruction, we actually had to participate in manning the winches...

    No Border testing....

Was referring to air travel testing. You still need one to travel into the US by air, far as I know.

To be masked or not to be masked

I was in 5 different countries over 2 weeks in mid-Feb. Covid mandates had been dropped in all places and almost 0% people were wearing masks. I expect you will see very few masks being worn within a week or so of the mandate being dropped here. Maybe not but it wouldn't surprise me at all...

    Wills

If you care about your kids and others left behind, get a will done! I would get a lawyer to do it vs online cheapie will. You can cover the basic will, POA's and other issues such as who cares for your kids if you & the wife go together before your kids are able to care for themselves and DNR...

Flying into Vegas and renting a 'Wing - suggest things to see/do?

I would not miss going through Zion Nat. Park, if it were me going. Head up to St. George Utah and take Hwy9 just north of there. It will take you through Zion and dump you out in Mt Carmel Junction at Hwy 89. Head south from there to Grand Canyon. IMO, Zion will be a trip highlight hands down!

Quebec looking to make the unvaccinated pay a 'significant' health tax for their choice. https://globalnews.ca/news/8503151/quebec-to-impose-a-tax-on-people-who-are-unvaccinated-from-covid-19/ This should be interesting

Webb telescope launch coming up very shortly Dec 25th within an hour

Website where you can follow the progress of the telescope as well as the deployment of various phases of the telescope as it cruises to it's final L2 orbit almost 1,000,000 miles from earth. So far, so good on the deployment. I hope the rest goes just as well. Fascinating stuff...

    COVID and the housing market

The other thing one needs to consider in moving to some of these 'cheaper housing markets', even within Canada is what your requirements might be 10 years out, as you age. They likely won't be the same as right now.

    Help me settle something

If you do cook your own wings at home, the best place I've ever come across to buy wings (raw wings; mix of flats & drums) is Big Red Market in Thorold. If you're ever out that way, have a look. Reasonably priced and the most meaty wings I've even come across. I split them up into meal servings...
