Internet Providers besides Bell and Rogers

It’s almost half the price of Bell. For now.

Internet Providers besides Bell and Rogers

Just switched over to Primus today through Costco. I’ll see if they use the existing Bell infrastructure. We kept Bell through Covid, because Sue was working from home, and the reliability was 1,000 times better than the cable lines. Now we’re going to cut the price almost in half. Did anyone...

    Chain slack or Chain tension

This. If there’s a frozen link or two it can end up super tight in one position and super loose in another.

    Speed camera update (Sept.11)

Is there a limit as to how much the speed can drop on local roads? Practically it’s been in 20 kph chunks, most places I’ve seen, but I don’t know if that’s because of a regulation. One place it dropped from 80 to 50; people complained and the 50 sign was eventually moved to the other side of...

    Speed camera update (Sept.11)

I’d be a little upset if they were still negotiating locations and revenue with a U.S. company. I favour red light cameras, over speed cameras, in the sense that you either did it or didn’t, and many of the dangerous situations are at intersections.

The Bad Riders of Ontario Thread

How many motorcycles have you passed that were in the right hand lane? I’d have put it in bad drivers, but I’m lazy today. I leaned the wrong way and put my lower back out.

    Getting old sucks

I got a booster vaccination yesterday for shingles. Anyways, the muscle the put it in started cramping and that worked itself down to my baby finger, and down my back. So at the moment a have a really sore spot on my shoulder blade, that seems related. It can’t be getting out of bed the...

Any GTAM'ers own an electric vehicle?

I lied, or typoed. It’s 12 separate 15 amp circuits, so only six split outlets. Three are on the back counter with the stove, one on each side counter, and one on the island. Eight circuits are on a 40 amp pony panel along with the pool stuff, the fridge and an unknown (so far) kitchen light...

Any GTAM'ers own an electric vehicle?

Started going through my electrical panel to check where each switch/plug is wired. What a complete dog’s breakfast. There are supposedly two spare circuits on different sides of the bus, and none on the pony panel. Who needs nine split kitchen outlets? We’re thinking of getting a hybrid...

    Getting old sucks

Dirt bikes are dangerous! You all ride, so you should know better. We had a really old 40 hp mercury, that was perfect for tubing. You could hit the wake just right and it would land the tube upside down, but not at a flesh torturing speed. Tried it later on a more powerful boat and it was...

The Bad Drivers of Ontario Thread

That seems to be all of Toronto, and the surrounding area. I love going under 60 in a 100 when there’s nothing in front of you. Remember when those guys were charged for going the speed limit?

What's the weakest link in stopping you from riding longer?

Getting older. Knees, butt, and shoulders hurt at different times, in different amounts, depending on the ride and its length.

Stupidly overpriced motorcycle for sale thread

I think my V65 Magna is still sitting in my brother in law’s garage. I have to check out what my neighbour has. He said his motorcycle was also faster, and it’s not a VMax.

    E bikes rampaging Toronto streets

Just saw a stand up scooter fly past a photo radar at 172 speeds today. I didn’t know they could go that fast. It’s getting dangerous to go for a walk, especially if you travel mixed use paths where the speed limit is 20 kph.
