Can you turn the abs off, or is it an always on type of thing? Hope you managed to keep the bike upright or at least were going very slow because of the gravel.

When it comes to V-Stroms - I used to always default to the Godfather's advice. I use my eyeballs only, since I don't have a ruler or fancy tool.

Nothing! It just turns into a gravel road with some cottages. But the out n back to that point is fun and has zero traffic, so it makes for a very different kind of experience compared to everything else.

Went up to Fort Irwin for lunch at Features Brasserie - the food was great, the roads just as good and the fall colours are about to peak!

That place looks awesome - reminds me of Dairy Freeze at St. Clair & Caledonia.

I had them on a previous bike and they kept their form for the 3 years and 90k I put on that bike. I used them on a KLR which I found too buzzy in the handlebars for highway riding. I also parked that bike outdoors with a cover on it only in the winter months.

Yes they were and some of them in really nice shape. I had never been on those roads before and they were fun. Some had lower speed limits and went though smaller towns, but they were much more pleasant than taking the 401 all the way to the Kingston area.
